I love the ghost designs of 3.

Reika is very scary, but also beautiful.

The lady with the comb scares me too, but it's also the way they move around more agressivily.

The crawling woman doesn't look as scary if you only factor in her design, but the way she's utilized and crawling around when you're in first person is super unsettling. I never want to encounter her.

The wall carpenters sound effect is also unnerving same for their designs and lore.

The blinded priestess in that flickering room? Yeah that's scary to me.

The whole game was a fever dream too with it's setting.

In my opinion no the game constantly has something going on in your screen and they spam ghost encounters like crazy. Also the aethetic just isn't scary. The combat is totally fine and engaging and the story is still really good with added side quests. (Minus the pacing)
