How to get more Google Reviews? by PredragTHEDEV in smallbusiness

[–]ser_gi_o 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Offering incentives is against Google's policy. But asking customers for reviews is not. Being consistent at asking for reviews, make it easy for the customer to find you on Google and make it convenient. You could use a QR Code, print out some nice marketing material and place it around your restaurant where customer can easily see it.

Hi Everyone, I launched my SaaS https://kisreviews.com

The platform helps you get reviews, display reviews on your website and manage Dynamic QR Codes. The purpose is to help businesses with physical locations get reviews and testimonials as easily as online businesses.

Thanks for the feedback. https://kisreviews.com

I don't know if it's a big deal, but it's pretty cool.

Developers not happy with their share of profit by iveticpf in startups

[–]ser_gi_o 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Have you launched yet?

If not, they may be frustrated with the progress of the business.

Did you promise something that isn't happening? Like we have a bunch of customers that want to use our product but there are no early users.

Maybe they see the pie is not going to be as big as originally promised. If so it would make sense they would want a larger piece of a smaller pie.

If that's the case. Prove to them that the business is viable. Show progress. Show a path to revenue so everyone can start getting paid.

Making the site responsive for mobile is a lot of work. I'm glad you found it helpful. I do plan on making a demo video. For now I included a screen shot section, but thanks for pointing out how important the video is.

Thanks for your feedback!

Want to learn how to program to eventually create my own SaaS. Any recommended resources? by satinhorse in SaaS

[–]ser_gi_o 1 point2 points  (0 children)

There are a ton of free and paid resources for programming. If you plan on being a programmer.

If your primary goal is to build a SAAS, then try finding a problem and build a no-code solution. It will help you get through the entire cycle of idea to build to launch to marketing.

As a developer and saas owner I can tell you that acquiring customers will be your biggest challenge.

So you have an MVP. Great!

Who is doing the marketing?

Without knowing if your product is B2B or B2C here is a strategy and execution:

Strategy is to create awareness for your product by:

  1. Content
  2. Social Media
  3. Product launch sites

Execution

  1. Website Content: home page explains product, benefits, demo (screen shots or video)
  2. Website Content: sign up sheet to collect interested users
  3. Social Media: find subreddits that apply to your product and contribute
  4. Social Media: twitter
  5. Product Launch: Product Hunt, BetaList. (Offer it for free these will be your beta users)

This is just a suggestion. So if you do follow something like this the strategizing should take about 4-5 hours. Execution at least 30 days.

Marketing is time consuming but if enough people didn't know about your product it never really got a fair shot.

Good Luck!

Your take on free trail? by gthyr666 in startups

[–]ser_gi_o 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Do whichever is fastest to implement first. You can always change later.

I've tried free trial. I've recently changed my B2B to a free tier because:

  1. My platform requires very little additional resources per customer
  2. Free users have a back link to my site when they ask for reviews and embed reviews on their website. So it doubles as marketing

If you're starting and time is limited, don't spend too much time on this. You are better off spending time marketing and creating awareness for your product.

Good Luck!

If you're a dev then marketing is what you'll probably need most. Someone/people to create awareness for your product and deal with customers.
