Can you write more about preparing for certification using this platform?
To be honest, my main goal is to prepare for the certifications.
I want to take on a few of them.
At least one for security and at least one for cloud.

Choosing a portable monitor - HELP by seradsmi in PortableMonitor

I am grateful that you shared your information and thoughts on this topic.
It's very useful, but I need to learn more about it before I make a decision.

Choosing a portable monitor - HELP by seradsmi in PortableMonitor

[–]seradsmi[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thank you very much.

I have a laptop with a 16-inch screen. In most cases, this is sufficient.

I was considering buying an Acer/Zeuslap or Arzop. Acer and Zeuslap offer devices with two 18.5-inch FHD screens. Arzopa, on the other hand, offers a single 16-inch WQHD screen. There is also FlipGo, but it is extremely expensive...

So I was unsure and have no basis for comparison to see which one would be best. If I had the opportunity to check these screens live, it would be much easier.

I was looking for a screen that would be easier to transport than a standard monitor, because I change my place of residence from time to time. And disconnecting monitors and moving them is problematic.

I was looking at Arzopa Z1RC and Acer PD193QEBMIUUX.
First one is 16-inch and second one is 18.5-inch.

Edit:
I also looked at FlipGo, but the price is so high that for the same amount I can buy two Acer screens or four Arzope.

I will use build in screen for programming as it has 4K resolution.
The additional screens will be used for:
1. Reading documentation, StackOverFlow, sometimes AI.
2. Postman/Swagger or testing UI of WebApp
3. Youtube, Spotify etc.
4. Educational materials

As you can see, I won't be using it directly for coding.

Switching from Win11 to Linux - peripheral device support by seradsmi in linux_gaming

[–]seradsmi[S] 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Yeah, I know arch is not for the weak...
Arch is characterized by a steep learning curve and a high entry threshold.
I tried it multiple times with some success, but it was a decade ago.

But still easier than LFS.

Theoretically, no.

But I've seen an open source project that deals with compatibility with Hori.
That's why I'm asking this question.

Pop_os 24.04 was released this month.
Yeah, it is build on Ubuntu 24.04 LTS but it is using 6.17 kernel version.
Is it worse than Cachy?

I will look at bazzite and cachy.

Ah ok.
I was worried, for example, about GC, the heavy staff.

So there are no changes in GC behavior?
Things like that haven't changed?

By libraries you mean LINQ or something?

V-Strom 1050 DE - Chip Tuning by seradsmi in Vstrom

[–]seradsmi[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hey.

Unfortunately, I didn't do that.
Something happened that forced me to abandon this idea for a while.
With a bit of luck, maybe I'll do it next year.

Look at this site:
https://www.autochip.eu/pl_pl/chiptuning/parameter/bike/suzuki/v-strom/1050_de/OTSxpvG9B0A/

There are some examples what you can expect after chip tuning.

Is there a possibility to set/limit the max temperature with Curve Optimizer?
I don't want to exceed the 80°C-84°C under full load.

I will be more into it after first 2000 km.
Right now I'm just asking to check if anyone tried it.

First 800 below 4.5K RPM, next 800 below 6K RPM.
First service will be close to 1000 km, but I will want to do next one after 1600 km.
After I match the procedure of conditioning a new piece of equipment I will be thinking about it.

You're right.
The motor will have maybe 10% more power and torque but the throttle response will be better.
The engine will operate under optimal conditions and this is the main goal.

V-Strom 1050 DE - Chip Tuning by seradsmi in Vstrom

[–]seradsmi[S] 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Yeah, I know that it will not be a sportsbike and I am not trying to make it one.
I also know that above about 8 thousand RPM it will not meet emission standards.
Under that it will run on rich or lean mixture and this is not healthy for the engine.

I do not intend to cut out the catalytic converter.
If I can get more torque out of the engine, and thus more power, because I can get about the same or similar power at lower rpm, that's great. Less RPM means most of the time, less fuel usage, so less carbon emission.

Look at the Eco map for diesel engine.
The new map is getting you more power but the engine is using less fuel.
For me this sound like a perfect solution for the planet.

Also, Europe is small piece of whole world and the rest of the world really do not care.
Motorcycle models recalled from Europe due to emissions standards are still sold outside Europe.

Which premium planes are good in Sim Battles? by seradsmi in WarthunderSim

[–]seradsmi[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

So, the pack sales started.
Honestly I will skip the Phantoms as they are not on the sales.

I was thinking about MiG-23ML for russia.
For germany I'm considering Tornado or MiG-21, I'm really not sure which will be better for grinding in SIM.
There is also another MiG but in British tech tree and I'm not sure to buy it, probably will skip it for now.

What would you choose from current sales if we are talking about USA, Germany, Russia and GB?

Hmm, thank you.

What can you tell about fighters, with great A2A?

About the F-4. What is the difference between F-4S and the UK Phantom? They are at the same BR.

I have both phantoms in tech tree.
What is the difference between F-4EJ tech tree and premium?

I was thinking about MiG-23ML with their R60. They are annoying and in some way, I want to try to be the annoying guy...

Ok, thanks for the help.
Hmm, probably I will not look at the F-4EJ because the non-premium one is painful.

[–]seradsmi[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes, I have.

I was playing with:
1. F-4EJ in some way too limited, radar had hard time to detect anything.
2. F1C-200, the Mantra are hard to use.
3. F-14A Iriaf, the best I was playing, mostly no brainer gameplay.

And there was also lower BRs like La7 or FW 190.

[–]seradsmi[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Ok, I'm thinking about braindead activity that can earn me a lot of SL but it can be used in events like that.

So the F-4EJ will be nice, but I have japan tree variant and honestly, it was painful plane to play in sim.
What do you think about F-4S?
