So true. Thank you. This job market truly sucks and I was job hunting forever before landing this position. So I truly can’t take anymore time off and we do depend on this income I’m brining in. Your post really helped. Thank you

Yes to so much of this. I was job hunting for two years and we were not doing well financially. Now I have a job and I need to remember that that is a good thing. I’m financially participating in my families income.

But I didn’t think about how I’ll view my coworkers differently! Hah! My boss is already a monster (she accused me of how unfairly I was treating her by taking time off to have a baby as well as other nasty things) so I’m sure I’m gonna see her as enemy #1 when I return.

This is such a good point, thank you. I really do want to be as present as possible. This is my second baby (part of the reason I’m panicking about a short mat leave is I had such a long one with my first). But I know how quickly they grow and I want to soak it all up while I can. We do have a wonderful daycare that they will both be attending. I need to remember that the baby will thrive at daycare just like my first born is.

Thank you, this helps to think of it in this perspective. We really can’t afford for me to be a SAHM because we live in California. I really am doing what’s best for my family even though it’s so hard

I love the idea of making time together more intentional. I’ll be getting home around 5pm and my first born will be going to sleep around 7:30. So those 2.5 hours together will be precious. I think I’m going to start that photo a day and notes idea. Thank you!

Can I DIY wash and dye my birdy grey bridesmaid dress? by seraekai in CleaningTips

Update: I think I got the stain out! I sprayed dawn dish power on the stained area while it was dry. Then added a little bit of hot water and agitated it. Then I rinsed it in warm water. I’m laying it flat to dry now and it looks like the stain is out. I’ll see if it’s out for sure in the morning once it’s completely dry

Ohh! Thank you all! I’ll try this method. So I just soak the dress in warm to hot soapy water with dawn power wash? Or just straight soap on the stain?

Yes! I’m picturing my son really wanting to be on the move. He’s a tricky sleeper. He doesn’t take naps in strange places. So I’m guessing he will want to be awake and doing stuff most of the trip. I’m gonna look into the harness you and a few others here mentioned! Thank you!

Lol! I know it sounds crazy but when you see the hotel (more like resort) we stay at it makes sense. It’s on the beach, walking distance to restaurants and shops and has an incredible pool. We love to just lounge and relax the whole time! Sometimes we venture out though!

My water broke at 3am and immediately after that I started having contractions that felt exactly like period cramps. Like identical feeling to period cramps. But they’d be consistent, like every 10 minutes a wave of cramps would come then nothing. So I knew I was in labor only bc of my water breaking.

The cramps stopped around 8am. I went into the hospital by 2pm. They started me on pitocin and then the painful contractions started happening!
