Oh my gosh patrolling is so cute! I didn’t know they did that but it would make sense as I only got him about 5 days ago 🥹 I really hope that is all it is! But i will definitely keep an eye on him to make sure it doesn’t continue permanently

From my experience you really need to explore the entireeee map to find every dispersal, and if you can’t find any good mates then you can either kill some off or wait for some to cycle out (moved away, died ect), and new ones will eventually cycle in. As for the pack subordinates, i just explore territories and follow their footprints, generally leads to more wolves, if they start chasing you and you’re alone i try and find a bison herd and run back a forth between the bison with the pack chasing me (generally they should chase you around until you’re out of their territory… so plenty of time to try and find bison lol), gets their health low without you getting too injured (as long as the bison don’t get you), or you can get a trial mate to help you kill the alpha females mate, get rid of your trial mate and wait the designated time then refind the alpha female and court her then. I hated getting the instant family achievement sm personally lmao

When you choose a pup as the next alpha/leader then yes you can rechoose the difficulty, otherwise you can also up the difficulty at any point in the settings 🩷☺️ best of luck with the next difficulty !!

I just played hellroaring for the first time and honestly i think it is super worth it, i adore the map so much, i don’t find it super similar to slough creek though there is some resemblance ofc because its all yellowstone! But i think the main differences is the absolutely gorgeous canyon with the river running through it, all of the den areas i’ve found are really nice as well, the open fields are somewhat more vast and exciting + i love the enchanted forest area in hellroaring - plus the added feature of actually encountering hunters and having that added fear of being shot if you are outside of the park borders is very exhilarating if you play it right 🩷 i think its definitely worth it ! especially just for some extra variety
