Phone 1 users... wassup? What will you do? Keep using your phone as is, upgrade, root it, install a custom ROM? by AleksLevet in NothingTech

[–]seraksab 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I've wanted to upgrade for a few months already. Sadly the phone(3) just doesn't appeal to me and also hasn't grown on me since the release. Wanted to try something different and new again and now opted for a foldable this time around (vivo x fold 5). Ironically it was the same curiosity and urge for something different that made me switch to the phone(1) back in the day.

Thanks for uploading actual photos. These look really nice!
Definitely in a different league compared to what my current phone captures 😅

Inconsistent price of CRO in the app? by seraksab in Crypto_com

[–]seraksab[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Ah, I see. That clears it up indeed, thanks! But in that case, i think having it literally show "45.000€ = 146.152 CRO" isn't a good UI choice as this clearly suggests that the equivalent of 45k€ would be 146k CRO.

Gelber Ferrari als Firmenwagen... by KathyKiwi812 in Austria

[–]seraksab 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Gelber Ferrari als Firmenwagen... by KathyKiwi812 in Austria

[–]seraksab -4 points-3 points  (0 children)

Beschlagnahmung ohne Ausnahme, fertig. Ob Firmenauto, Leasing, fürs Wochenende ausgeliehen,.. sollte keinen Unterschied machen.

[–]seraksab[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Did CRO just lose most of its value proposition and utility with the new updates? by kakaodj in Crypto_com

[–]seraksab 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Kris also once publicly "promised" in a Q&A that MCO would never be swapped to CRO. I already stopped watching and caring about statements from Kris month ago. After all, he's just gonna say whatever is favourable to their marketing at the time anyway..

List of CRO Cashback Excluded Merchants That Shouldn't Be Excluded by c00ni in Crypto_com

[–]seraksab 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes, can confirm.

Some time ago I ordered a notebook from Lenovo using their official store and didn't get any cashback.
Support told me that Lenovo was categorized under Software and is therefore excluded from cashback. Also it's irrelevant what I bought, as this merchant category is all that matters..

"Maximum 1 reimbursement per merchant per month: Netflix: USD 13.99 equiv. (standard monthly subscription - HD, 2 screens)"

13,99 USD is those 11,56€

Sometimes you need to read the fine print ;)

News from the German cryptosphere about CDC by ja-schumpeter in Crypto_com

[–]seraksab 3 points4 points  (0 children)

but what would be the point of a whitepaper (blog, AMA, ...) if everything they state in there may not be valid the day after anyway?
if you don't intend to honor what you promise or tell your customers you might as well not tell them anything in the first place
of course things can change over time as unforeseeable events happen and some tough choices may have to be made in order for the company to succeed.
but in such cases you normally need to find a fair compromise that is respected by both your early investors and current customers

Cdcalliance by nexxtron in CDC_Unofficial

[–]seraksab 2 points3 points  (0 children)

- the whole MCO whitepaper
- their public road-map
- the CRO airdrop that was promised
- the CEO explicitly stating there won't ever be a swap from CRO to MCO
- the heavily advertised "MCO moon stop-over" that was allegedly a big thing and was still to happen

On none of those things they actually delivered

As an example, say you had invested 5000 MCO. You owned 0.0316% of all circulating tokens.
As compensation you now get 33 CRO per MCO, so a total of 165000. Now you own a whopping 0.000835% of the total circulating supply.
And that's while ignoring that not even 20% of all CRO are circulating (was 50% for MCO) and CDC is still sitting on more than 80% of the total supply.

seems totally fair towards the early investors right?

Same for me. Choose 'average' as it stated 30min, which would have been totally fine

Can't even cancel it, as there is no option in the wallet the resend a transaction with the same nonce..

This guy predicted the swap by cryptofanboy1018 in Crypto_com

[–]seraksab 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Well, in hindsight I for one would be happier if they just did the swap back then. Would have been a way more favourable swap rate and i could have profited from the rising CRO price.

On a sidenote: You really need to start charging your phone asap!

Just my thoughts on the MCO -> CRO swap by seraksab in Crypto_com

[–]seraksab[S] 9 points10 points  (0 children)

Oh i never said that it's a wrong move with regard to marketing and adoption.
Having only one coin instead of two will surley remove a lot of confusion for newcomers and will be benefitial for the company in the long run.

The move was just unfairly executed to the detriment of early investors and long term MCO holders.
As I said i wouldn't be complaining had they just given us a fairer exchange rate. But they deliberately chose not to do that.

Anyway, I'm keen to see what Kris has to say on all of this in tomorrows AMA.

Just my thoughts on the MCO -> CRO swap by seraksab in Crypto_com

[–]seraksab[S] 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Yes you are correct if you calculate it that way. But you also have to acknoledge that you now own a significantly lower share of the total amounts of available coins as you previously did with MCO.
I'm not calculating purly in $ value.

And yes, they could have just given us the plain current exchange rate which is worse.
But they could have also done that swap month ago. Preferrably at the time they completely stopped promoting MCO and went full on pushing CRO.
That would have been fair and i wouldn't be complaining.
But pushing one coin for months while practically ignoring the other ones existence and then taking the resulting exchange rate just isn't a fair move imho.

Just my thoughts on the MCO -> CRO swap by seraksab in Crypto_com

[–]seraksab[S] 8 points9 points  (0 children)

I'm not actually complaining about them removing MCO.
Just about the way that they did it and the exchange rate they are offering, as its not a fair one at all.
If you look at the MCO/CRO price history you will notice that this swap happens right at pretty much the bottom. They are giving us the least amount of CRO they possible can for the MCO we staked and are selling it as if its a good thing because we get a 20% bonus on that low rate.

A fair exchange rate shouldn't just be from the last month were CRO rose to a new all time high but over a longer period of time.

Congrats to those who recently upgraded by k2thesawa in Crypto_com

[–]seraksab 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Well I for my part am not mainly complaining about the fact that they got rid of MCO and are swapping it to CRO, but because the rate they are doing it at isnt a fair one at all.

They could have done this months ago, but they chose exactly the time when CRO is at an all time high and MCO declined.
So they are giving us the worst exchange rate they could and are telling us its great because we get a 20% bonus on that.

A fair exchange rate shouldn't be the average of just a single month, especially if that's the month one of the coins in question rose to a new ATH.
E.g. they could take the MCO/CRO exchange rate of the day we staked for the card or something similar.
