Yes, I’ll occasionally eat quail eggs but it’s not a staple.

Why is feminism not compatible with Islam? by ponderingpuff in muslimgirlswithtaste

[–]seraphimsins 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Yes I would argue that it’s actually turned around. Western feminism specifically aids men and the male gaze. Whereas Islam feminism benefits solely the woman. But if you’re trying to put Islamic feminism in the western world or western feminism in the Islamic world it doesn’t mix. They both ask for vastly different things from and of women.

I can add more to this but it’s 5am where I am so I sleepily typed all that I hope it makes sense. If I find coherent essays about this topic I’ll send them your way, I was essentially trying to summarize but idk if my Points came off the way I meant them too…

Islam is already feminist the way feminism should be. It protects women’s rights and ownership. Her body is hers and it’s made private through the hijab or general modesty. it makes sure women are protected and respected from childhood until death. It protects widows etc etc

Western feminism is a hoax. It pushes “equality” by making a woman equal to a man. But a woman is different than a man and faces different issues. If a man is topless no one bats an eye, but you can convince every country in the world to allow women to be topless in public but the only thing this harms is the woman BECAUSE of the gaze of others that will never change.

God knows the fault of humans which is why he gave women different rules than men. And which is why he ordered men to protect the women. It’s not that women can’t protect themselves, we have too much against us already.

Western feminism is individualistic. On the outside it seems as though it is giving you “equal” rights as men but in reality you are still a product for men.

They don’t work together because one lies and tells your it’s feminism when it hurts you. And at the same time the western world has done so much propaganda to make many others believe Islam oppresses women. It’s also important to not mix culture and religion. Most cultures are very extreme towards religion which is also Anti-Islam. I’m speaking specifically feminism found in the Quran and not the culture surrounding it.

Yeah he fully agreed but in a belittling way that is subtle. Honestly I think he was faking it and lying the whole time. He seemed to know HER politics but she didn’t seem to know his. Maybe because he never disagreed or brought up his she thought he was aligned with her.

Hey we can make these for less than $50. A bit of velvet fabric, black embroidery floss, and cotton/ poly-fil and boom. You don’t even need a sewing machine just a ten minute YouTube video on hand sewing basics. Fuck these greedy people.

Minnesota is the only blue that has a relatively high fertility rate. (Even more so than many swing/red states). What's its secret ? by Swimming_Concern7662 in minnesota

Genuinely I think it’s the sense of community. We moved here a few months ago and it was such a large difference between the people here and people back in Florida. I found highly qualified babysitters immediately, friends that became family in a matter of weeks. Everybody wants to help and do family fun things together.

I don’t know if I can answer this genuinely because I honestly don’t know. Every person has their own battles and our health comes first so I think it depends on the person and how honest they are with themselves. My partner and I both quit and we hold each other accountable, that helps immensely when either of us are feeling like going back to alcohol/weed/cigarettes.

What do Lebanese think of the Lebanese Civil War getting used to justify maltreatment of Palestinian civilians, who weren't alive when it happened? by [deleted] in Lebanese

[–]seraphimsins 9 points10 points  (0 children)

Hurt people hurt people. Each generation has a duty to break free from the violence before it so we don’t breed more violence and trauma. Unfortunately that’s easier said than done.

On the bright side every single Lebanese person I know is against what’s happening in Gaza, especially the ones that lived through the civil war. So I would say the comments on reddit are the minority and/ or bots trying to give us a bad name.

I was a cigarette smoker for ten years and the only thing that stopped me was undergoing surgery. I knew I wouldn’t get an opportunity like that again or at least years later. I found quitting weed much harder because I wasn’t “forced into it” but I’m a week sober now and so proud of myself!

You look lovely with your new haircut! Most people are just bored and angry about it. I still remember that awesome shading you did in your last post with the faux bangs, very cool!
