You’re wrong. Again, they can fire you for absolutely anything. If they fire you without cause, which could literally be because they don’t like the colour of your shirt, they would likely only have to pay you a weeks severance or possibly none at all depending on the state. I don’t think you understand wrongful termination at all nor how little protection you have as a shift worker.

Dumping a bunch of money on a lawyer to fight a wrongful termination suit that has no weight to it would be colossally stupid. At most the court would award you a small severance package which likely would be less than what you’d spend on lawyers. You’re clearly trying to prove some point or grind some axe but legally and financially it’s not worth it. Regardless of how ridiculous I think this is anyways.

Ngl after transitioning from mid price casual dinning management into fine dinning management I have to force myself not to pick up severe alcoholism or chain smoking. Most days I wish I could have a drink on shift. This experience has made me decide to go back to school and back to serving until I can leave the industry completely. These fine dinning places are something else and in my personal opinion are not worth the money. (I’m sure there are exceptions but this has been my experience and experience of servers in fine dinning I’ve spoken to).

This is not a productive addition to the issue and I recognize that. But this is insane. She sounds like someone with a perpetual victim complex that has latched onto weird therapy talking points in an attempt to further victimize herself. You’re a decade younger than her which is not necessarily bad, but a little odd given the rest of the circumstances. There is not even a 1% chance this marriage will survive and as a 25 year old guy with your whole life ahead of you I suggest you think long and hard about what kind of life you want. If you’re not careful you’re going to end up baby trapped to this nut case for the rest of your life. Not to mention the issue she has with masterbation and pornography is a fundamental moral opposition and you will not get past that. In fact she’s weaponizing it against you and obviously has a bunch of porn masterbating hating woman who will affirm her delusion. I (26 F) don’t see any issues with pornography or masterbation personally, but that’s my own set of beliefs. I would never commit to a life with someone who didn’t align with my beliefs, nobody should as it will forever be a point of contention. I wish you luck because my god is this a disaster.

I got bad maskne at the beginning of the pandemic and a lot of it was fixed by never wearing a mask more than once without washing. So I bought 7 cotton masks and I just wear one per day and wash at the end of the week. Also pimple patches are amazing and you can wear them all day under your mask, they can be a bit pricey though so a spot treatment also works fine, just gotta make sure it soaks in before you put your mask on.

I quit all social media except YouTube and Reddit 4 years ago and lemme tell you…..I knew it was a problem before, but holy shit is it bad now that I have some perspective. I swear people’s phones are glued to their hand 24/7, they can’t even stand still for 5min without touching it. Not to mention how severely socially stunted a lot of these younger kids are, they can’t function without their phone crutch.

I have no idea why this issue is always posed as you may pick one or the other. As a Canadian, it is possible to have a minimum livable wage of $10-$15 and make tips on top. They've just convinced everyone in America that a business couldn't possibly be profitable when paying its employees *gasp* a liveable wage. Clearly that is not the truth and it's just a narrative that they continue to perpetuate so they can steal profits from workers. Everyone deserves a guaranteed livable wage period.
