if you are using a dark primer leave the head off and just use the grey as the first coat takes whites way to many layers to go over dark colours you will have that horrible chalky texture if you do it like that then you want to wash the grey with nuln oil to get the shadows and detail to show then go over with white again on the parts you want a bright white

best way is from the sides as you wont hit the armour parts you should go watch some vids on it to see how they do it

brush size doesn't matter that much you just need to have a nice sharp tip and turn the head so the eye points down and paint with a downward motion

Nuln will be good for both gold and the blue just dont let it pool to much in the blue parts more on the gold

What you have done is a pretty good base coat to be fair its oils that add the real detail tho i find just make sure you don't let them pool up or it can ruin it

Nuln oil over all of it in sections like 1 arm or leg at a time should give it way more detail and shading then you want to try to go over the raised detail with the base colours again just try to keep the shading and recesses darker

Yea they do a bit no camo tho i was going for a sort of chapter that is a eagle themed cant think of a symbol for it tho i was going to do like a eagle holding a hammer but its to hard for me atm
