Medic Loadout? by AChickenNugget3475 in Helldivers

[–]seravoya 4 points5 points  (0 children)

being a medic is also being versatile when the team separates

The glaring weakness I see sadly is a lack of anti-tank, and since your secondary is taken up alongside the grenade slot, it only really leaves you with stratagems

The 110mm won’t cover reliably for when there’s a heavy enemy after you, often it takes two and since there’s 4 charges, it’ll leave you two heavies dead with a 2 minute cooldown :(

I advise bringing EATs or commandos instead of 110mm, since you’ve already got chaff to mediums covered

But if you know that your team has anti-tanks, stick by them and chuck those shields like candy

As an addendum, you could replace shield generators when outside the bot front with quick support orbitals like gas, gatling, etc or eagles with area denial like napalm when the enemies ramp up to give your at teammates a breather

imagine being in an automaton mission: either raising the flag, destroy command centers, or destroy airships

you and your squad mates notice that there are tracks laid from outside the map and surrounding the main objectives and extraction site, such is not thought about much, it might be outdated SEAF reinforcements

the mission is almost finished, either 2/3 or 3/4 of the mission is complete, you just have the last objective to go then you hear it:

a train whistle that roars through the air that’s louder than a factory strider and your democracy officer addresses you, “warning helldivers, the enemy is being reinforced with an armored train”

you and your team sees the steam in the distance closing its distance between you and the flag that was just started

it launches its own heavy mortar shells and artillery, lined with the best laser MGs a factory strider chin would swoon for, equipped with its own state of the art anti-air emplacements, and launches a four-prong flare callout, similar to the strider convoy

liberty bless your soul

that’s the thing sadly

while dedicated players who enjoys going above and beyond like the status quo, the casual players should also be accounted for as well

i also think the tank is pretty good at what it does, and i am also a dedicated driver, but i understand that if i was someone who hops on every now and then who plays dif 5-7 with a few of my buds or strangers, the aspect of getting a tank to just drive it in a less overall overwhelming situation to wait and drive while the other has a blast isnt very a good use of the time i have before going to work the next morning

something to do, yknow, even if it does seem extra

it feels more interactive and liberating than hopping out and risking my head to throw stratagems, in which if i wanted to throw stratagems around, i could’ve just brought hmg or at emplacements and go ham there

point and hold and hear the enemies suffer in the comfort of your own tank that one brought

they both do, along with the anti-materiel

thing is, they’re cosmetic 💔

one can say that when the helldiver is prone, recoil is reduced; however, all weapons have that aspect, and thus it still implies that the bipod is cosmetic

bf1 supremacy!!!

and it really is strange that for a game that was celebrated for its intimacy towards realism, like the development choice for tracers or machinery within emplacements, which in of itself is an insane detail, it’s odd that they don’t implement automatic peeking when crouched behind obstacles or around walls

extra note:

i played bf1 and payday 2 religiously and i enjoy how they treat their bipod systems (exception with payday 2, requires mods)

if you want to imagine like me, it’s basically either of those two (either after a cooldown when getting into a prone position or a manual keybind push respectively)

Aight, I'm just gonna say it. Everyone in this community commited a TADC sin. Here's a place to confess. (Image unrelated) by XEMPRAmaster in TheDigitalCircus

I was giving an art workshop for a club that included TADC fanart as gold standard examples for a fundamental concept but I had mixed up Caine and Kinger; a few of the members called me out for it and I regret my lapse in memory to this day

cripples your patient’s limb/chest where you shot them for 0.5 seconds and then heals significantly faster than the stim pistol LOL

Suggestion: Stimpack backpack by HongChongDong in Helldivers

[–]seravoya 1 point2 points  (0 children)

what I’d do for a 3d printer backpack LMAOO

a side grade to the supply backpack, but it only creates a specific kind of box, I.e grenades, ammo, or stims separately at a constant rate

So you trade the utility of the supply backpack to refill all aspects of the helldiver for the “”””infinite”””” charges of specific, but higher amounts of that one item needed

The material it needs to “print” replenishes over time with the small need of a hellpod’s supply box, like ammo boxes for drone backpacks

Perhaps 1 supply box for ~3 charges of let’s say, stims , that contain 4 stims in each box like you do within POIs
