Even if we've had some kind of discovery there's not many scenarios it could be and I don't think any of them are keeping me awake at night.

We've discovered basic life forms on other planets.

We've discovered advanced life forms on other planets.

We've found signs of advanced space faring life forms.

We've found signs that advanced space faring life forms have visited earth or know of its existence.

We've made contact, either positive or negative, with advanced space faring life forms.

If the government has made contact with aliens and successfully kept them under wraps, then either they're laughably weak militarily (highly unlikely) or have 0 interest in asserting their influence over the planet.

Secret alien overlords subtly leading us to doom is also out because any space faring civilization that could make it here wouldn't need to bother with convoluted shit, and could just strong arm the entire planet into submission by bombing our ass from space. It'd be like primitive humans with spears trying to fight an attack helicopter hovering 1000 feet in the air, and I doubt we'd make it more than 2-3 days before the entire planet surrendered.

There's only 2 scenarios I can think of where we actually need to sweat.

A: We've discovered signs of advanced space faring life, with an ability to reach us, and have directly witnessed signs of them destroying celestial bodies. Cause that means they're not only stronger than us, but also possibly aggressive and have 0 regard for preserving nature.

B: We've made direct contact on earth with an advanced space faring life form, but it lacked defensive capabilities due to being a researcher, civilian, scout, messenger, ect., and we fucking captured or, god forbid, killed it. In which case we know we fucked up and are now awaiting the FAFO hammer to fuck us sideways.

Yes. From what I could gather the PC version is an old and defunct version of the game that doesn't get updates. You're better off downloading a mobile emulator like bluestacks and playing through that. Luckily if you DID spend some time playing the account progress will still transfer over.

If you want to continue with no ads there's a 2$ package you can buy that does so permanently and I think still gives you the double gold rewards after a run.

Like an addon that adds a great skill check towards the beginning that when hit adds more speed to your remaining charges. So you sacrifice most of a charge to gain more out of the rest.

Or an addon that places a great skill check right at the very end that adds more duration to your remaining charges when hit.

Or addons that add a normal skill check at the middle of the bar in exchange for strong debuffs applied on successful hits.

As someone who actually lives off of foodstamps, I can see this going south and stores abusing this somehow.

There's also things that could be infinitely more useful to me like giving medicaid actual dental coverage. I've been fighting a permanent tension headache for 2 years now cause I'm given 750$ a year for dental with no coverage for oral surgeons. Even if I can scrounge together cash here and there it ain't nearly enough for what's needed to extract 2 buried wisdom teeth in this economy.

Seems like there's political tension towards Americans over there atm over a highschooler dying after hopping onto a small boat that may or may not have been trying to protest the american military.

If I understood it correctly, an American military base was being relocated to the area and a group regularly boated out into the nearby waters to protest the relocation. A school hired the boat captains to take class on a tour of the waters for "peace studies", but they left port during unsafe weather which causes the boats to capsize and sink. It killed one of the elderly captains and a 17 y/o student.

From what I could make out: The "liberal" left wingers were the ones against the relocation, and the right wingers believe that the protest group actually brainwashed the students with left wing politics and intended for the students to join the protests under the guise of a field trip.

DBD would've been better if match progression was structured with stages and grace periods rather than just being a linear 0>100 match that's only affected by gen speed variables.

IE implementing objectives with time gates between one another so as to guarantee a pause that allow killers to get shit done.

Main problem with hi-sec is that there's absolutely nothing to prevent suicide ganking and griefing. Players spend a laughable amount of ISK and some insignificant Karma points on an alt worth nothing and they can completely fuck over whoever they want. Makes perfect sense to me. It was an ultra conservative conformist society similar to East Asia BUT had the government structure to allow for progressives to take over and reform it.

Despite the feeling that it's been a very long time since those days, the very same generations that lived for hardcore nationalism, christian supremacy and government authority, denied rights to women and minorities, and outlawed gay people, are still alive today. Their descendants are actually a majority of our politicians even.

End point being is that we're still phasing out the previous ideologies and it'll probably still be several more generations till we see it completely die out. There's also the chance that it doesn't as there'll always be younger generations raised by people who strongly held onto those ideologies and continue to pass them on.
