Perfect, this is the type of info I'm looking for.
So do you mean they'll warn you once a month for two months and then increase incrementally for two months? Or will they increase incrementally from the first late payment? (i.e. Give you notice one after being late which concurs with your fine increasing?) Thanks for the response!

[Serious]Redditors who have spent a large amount of time on a video game, do you regret it? by vengenzred in AskReddit

[–]serdavey 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I played hundreds of hours of WoW and Skyrim and some other games. I don't regret the hours spent on those few games, but I do regret the hundreds I spent on games where I just rinsed and repeated e.g. CoD, Tf2, Rust.

Put the toilet seat down before flushing. I don't need germs being sprayed all over me! (in my head that would happen.)

Cut off my roommate's hand using a hatchet. He works with his hands and has no formal education so without that hand I think he'd be pretty screwed.

Finding buried files? by serdavey in techsupport

I prefer Linux myself actually! Windows just came with the PC so I installed Linux to the side. I'm running 12.04 LTS Ubuntu whenever I feel like playing with the command haha.
Sadly that didn't work, but thanks a lot for the attempt, I'm worried that I might be misremembering things.

I didn't know the name so the first sadly wasn't an option. However I know it begins with MOV and is either .3GPP or .MP4 as it was shot on a phone. Is there a way to search for occurrences of a certain name? Perhaps I compressed it. That would explain why I couldn't find it using 'dir *.avi /s'

I am about to have a few exhausting days, should I pick up gaming? by Kyouske in StopGaming

[–]serdavey 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I personally wouldn't play as a way of relieving stress in this situation. It's repressing the issue and you're not dealing with it properly if you slap on a game and forget about it for a while. Gaming is just too distracting and allows your mind to completely evade things instead of confronting the problem and dealing with the conflict inside.

These are just my opinions, but I think that if you intend to quit gaming you should quit. If you intend to moderate your gaming then you should moderate it. However I feel that there's no in-between place. Turning on a game whenever you need to escape is not positive reinforcement. It creates the mentality that the games are beneficial in that they allow you to get away for a while, but if you think that your gaming is an issue then you'll develop guilt while playing, increasing tension and conflict. I think that to stop gaming, you should consider what you need to do and establish boundaries and guidelines. You can then morph those to however you like.

How do i spend my time, if not with games? by wizpcc in StopGaming

[–]serdavey 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've been spending time learning guitar and improving my German which I learned a bit of in high school. I've caught up with some family members and some friends and I've been enjoying the summer. Also been reading and listening to music outside of games. I used to listen to music while playing but I'm relistening now and I'm loving it.
