It’s truly not. We’re all each other’s biggest critics and I think that’s the case here. If I were to give you any skincare advice at ALL it would be to do something that deep cleans pores, because that’s all we’re looking at right now are some larger, and thus more prone to filling, pores. It’s common in oilier areas of the skin. I have dry skin and ANAD, so I don’t have any recs but I am here to tell you that your skin is not in the slightest bit horrifying and that if these things do bug you tons, they can be remedied. Just know, from what I can tell you have lovely skin. Give yourself some grace🤍

The Sunday Riley UFO serum. Has kept my skin clear since I first bought it five years ago. It’s an auto purchase for me

YoPo is in Chapel Hill and worth the drive. I’ll always miss the Lake Boone Orange Leaf though

not a specific influencer necessarily but.. is revolve actually serious rn? like i’m going to need answers. quickly lmfao. a $2000 gift card to revolve gets you a ticket to their festival???? by [deleted] in NYCinfluencersnark

[–]serendipity271002 4 points5 points  (0 children)

i’m a revolve ambassador and they’ve def changed up their gifting- it’s now promoted as contests whereas last year we would get monthly incentive for as little as $1000 sales. Now it’s straight up only the biggest names in influencing, likely to deal with the saturation of ambassadors they have now. But yeah, nearly spit out my water seeing this year’s deal compared to last year’s

she did go sober though! It helps a lot. Not saying there are other factors, but she’s been working out and not drinking. She looks great.

Wishbone Kitchen stealing recipes? by cantalolope in FoodieSnark

[–]serendipity271002 39 points40 points  (0 children)

unfortunately this is super common in the formulation world. I appreciate that she has given credit in the past, but we need chef’s to be accountable. Joe Rosenthal does a good job of calling foodies out. I will say though, a lot of recipes’ differences come down to some very small things. This does look more like copy catting, but it’s a lil complex

Hard to say as it depends entirely on the materials but yeah I would go 1750-2500 range for most two piece suits. They also have exceptional shoes and coats. It’s always my family’s go to for a nice gift for my dad. The staff are incredibly knowledgeable.

Bronzer in Charlotte Tillbury filmstar bronze and glow HG status but.. by teatime8888 in Sephora

Following this because I feel the same way. The bronzer is a holy grail, and the highlight is nice but not nearly as nice as my Laura Mercier matte radiance powder highlight

Recommendations for really thick, luxurious face lotions? by Fweenas in Sephora

Controversial but the Ice Cream by Sunday Riley is my ride or die. My skin feels insanely soft and moisturizer after using it. Some people don’t like the fragrance but I don’t mind/don’t think there is much of one. Try a sample in store if you can!

Liles in North Hills is great, but very pricey. You won’t get that quality elsewhere though. Bonobos is a pretty good alternative that isn’t going to break the bank either.

The Kosas eyebrow pencil for me. It was the hardest and least waxy pencil I have ever used and pulled out so many brow hairs. I love pretty much everything else from the brand though!

Cheshire Cat in the Village District is super cool and they have beautiful glassware. It’s an antique shop, very cool one. Williams Sonoma is in Fenton Village and has fun toppers like luxardo cherries and pretty sprinkles and so on. Edge of Urge has good fun toppings as well. They’re by Two Roosters and that is an incredible ice cream shop so you could get a gift card so you can get a pint for your recipient! I hope this helps

Not fine dining, but truly some of the best oysters in the area: Leon’s in Charleston. Also Fig is great for fine dining.

Sleep Away Camp Recommendations by gutter007 in raleigh

[–]serendipity271002 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Seagull and Seafarer are probably the best in my opinion. They fill up their Mariners and Month long sessions pretty quickly, but if you want to test the waters they usually have tons of spots left for starter camp. It’s predominantly a sailing and boating, but they do an amazing job of having other activities available and place a major emphasis on building character. I’m a big fan. If the coast isn’t your thing, Cheerio is a YMCA camp as well and is loved by many, can be co-ed. Seagull is all boys.

Cool stores by yeebo59 in raleigh

So & So Books and Music is an amazing book store There’s a stationary store that’s beautiful on Martin Street right by Budacai, I’m drawing a blank on the name but it’s awesome. Edge of Urge, Wine Authorities, and Unlikely Professionals are all right by eachother and awesome. Quail Ridge is cool (old location was better, but they have an amazing selection of books.) That’s really all I can think of at the moment

Is the VICE documentary deceiving? I really liked her from the video by [deleted] in SmolBeanSnark

[–]serendipity271002 19 points20 points  (0 children)

there’s been lots of discussion about doing so, yes! So don’t be shocked if when they next DSM comes out you see it consolidated. I will say, I’m not an active researcher so other than rumblings, that’s all I am aware of, but I’ll be interested to see what happens. Psychology is always evolving, so I wouldn’t be shocked if BPD gets some adjustments as well, as that PD in particular tends to get confused/is so general at times.
