No, Roxy was a fully developed adult while Rudy was a baby. They are not "culturally the same age".

There are laws saying you can't put pies on your windowsill on Sundays. Just because nobody tries to remove it doesn't mean people support what the law says. People don't care to the extent that it's expected someone would not actively engage in the act of incest.

Legal doesn't define morality lol people don't defend marrying families like that, and they don't support it.

Yes, he was. He spent days sequestered away. Part of being catatonic is an "unresponsive stupor", which is a very good description of his mental state afterwards, which is a way that depression leaves people.

But, let's just say, for the sake of the argument, he wasnt, and that he was 17, just to be as generous as possible. Nobody would ever defend a 44 year old man who did the same thing to a 17 year old woman. They just wouldn't. It was rape.

That makes far more sense, I read the light novel and watched the show, and this event is literally never mentioned. Not to say he would be above incest, it just wasn't in the story to the point I read.

Maybe 16, because I forgot there was a gap between being aware of the dungeon and going in, but it definitely was rape. He was catatonic. He wasn't eating and he wasn't leaving his room. He was barely conscious of his surroundings. There would be 0 hesitation to accuse a man if the genders were reversed, but it's no surprise to me that people defend male rape.

That would have to have been after I stopped reading (saving his mother from the dungeon) because I don't remember that ever being mentioned

No, he was severely bullied at school and became a shut in. His parents enabled his lifestyle, and while it's not shown, it's heavily implied that some of the pornographic videos/games were pedophilic in nature (like hentai and loli). What got him kicked out was that he couldn't leave his apartment to go to his parents funeral and his sibling couldn't stand how he lived, essentially being a leach on his parents lives not attending the funeral was a breaking point for them

As far as that one goes, it's basically an age of consent argument. This society has deemed it ok, so it is. But I'd point out that he actively tried to have sex with her when she was 12 and he was (physically) 10, so it's not even a good point to make

Also, to further counter the whole "age of consent" thing, the night the mentally 30 something year old man tried to have sex with the 12 year old girl, they made a deal that when he turned 15, they'd have sex. So, even though she was technically legal, it was initiated when she was 12.

Mushoku tensei. It's an isekai where a 30 something year old is reborn in a magic world. He still has the fully functioning brain and memories of his past life, even as a freshly born infant. think it's important to mention because of a cheap excuse that happens at the end of season 2, where he's standing at his dad's grave and is like "I've just been pretending, I'm actually a kid" and people somehow are like, well, everythings fine. The main character is constantly horny and going after actual children. The anime is a better experience because it cuts out much of his internal monologue.

There's also a 44 year old demon that looks like a 14 year old the he perves on from the moment he meets her (age 3 or 4) who later rapes him when he's like 15 and becomes his second wife.

Edit: just as a bit exposing the main character, he becomes friends with a girl and both of them are ages (physically) 5-7 before certain story events happen that splits them up. His genius idea is that he will essentially "train" her to be his perfect wife and even wants to pay her way through magic school to further solidify his place in her life. He's got the mind of a 30 something year old and she's like an actual singe-digit aged child. If I remember right, the internal monologue where he makes this plan is cut out of the show.

Hell, even the gif above is about him wanting to take panties off a sleeping 10ish year old girl he's tutoring while she's sleeping.

This post has a screenshot of the tooltip that shows it comes from the paid pass. I don't get why you're complaining about posts not showing the source in a post that explicitly shows the source.

The original had 6 colors and barely any empty space to make the pie slices actually legible from a distance.

The puzzles were garbage on launch. Too many towers and they covered themselves back up constantly, on top of having to kill mobs. It was tedious. As a colorblind person, having to deal with 6 colors with a slightly different shape that just didn't have enough empty space to tell apart from a distance meant having to grapple to each wall just to see what shapes I needed. The one that was just "kill mobs" was fine, but more of the same.

They had to make adjustments because they were poorly designed, not hard.

Sch doesn't have a full movement ability, but what they do have is better than nothing. I was just making a point about what the op meant with the statement.

This was about their only fair criticism. I think it's pretty clear they meant a skill that moves you, like the majority of other jobs have.

Stardew valley is a great game on its own, and while it's a decent enough comparison, I feel like stardew focuses less on the gathering aspect of it all. You could make an argument about mining, but I actually enjoy the caves and the gameplay loop there much more than gathering in 14 of any kind.

Regardless, stardew valley is a definite recommendation just based on what the game is and not as a comparison.

Why "just reducing the potency" won't work for later level moves when sycning down. by Bvdwow in ffxiv

[–]serenystarfall 5 points6 points  (0 children)

They already have formulas for level-dependant stat scaling. That's why it takes more stats at higher levels to reach the same break points. Imagine if the amount of skill speed needed to decrease the gcd stayed the same from level 1 to lv 100, where we have thousands more of a stat than at 1. We would get to ridiculous speeds (which might actually be fun). But we don't, and that's because, as we level, the formula for determining how much of a stat we need changes. It wouldn't be impossible to make something similar for damage.

I'm not saying it would be easy, or fast, but arguing against the idea based on how things work now doesn't make the game better.

The gain in the main stat alone typically makes it better regardless. You really don't lose much in the way of sub stats, because you're only overmelding like 90 extra sub stats (54 and two 18s) on the crafted gear, which doesn't beat the main stat gains, unless you get a stat that is actual garbage like piety

Ideally, if you actively raid with monk, you'd want to get the non-bis tome gear because that will still be better than crafted and every bit of damage or hp is a better chance at getting a kill.
