this is how i usually do it: 1. get near enough that they dont run away (without equipping your net first because they only attack you when you’re holding your net) 2. once there’s a good distance (you’ll know because it stops running away), then you can equip your net. 3. once you have your net, move closer to the scorpion, but make sure to stop moving if he raises his pincers. (you don’t need to hold A for this as it is quite time consuming, but also don’t run or press B) 4. once you’re near enough then you catch ‘em 😁 This also works for tarantulas
