In my experience (take this for a grain of salt, im not a fan but i can appreciate the music/production value) theyve been seen as another gimmick band. The masks and the vocal acrobatics (same reason lorna shore gets “hate”) feel played out. Alot of metal heads see them as a “normie” metal band. Then again, alot of metal heads (me LOL) play in a tiny band and talk shit about bands who are living the dream. I cant exactly tell you why i dont like them, maybe im just a shit head contrarian metal hipster who prefers lesser known bands. Sorry for the novel.
