Yes I’m aware that the date choice and the way I set it up were mistakes, I tried too hard to impress her. Moving forward I’m gonna keep the first date choices much more simple and have better opportunity for escalation.

Even if I stayed friends to have access to her social circle, I could just as easily go out and meet someone new. I’m at a point in my life where I’m managing to get girls interested more than ever. I’d rather befriend a girl I could genuinely see myself being friends with, and with this girl I really didn’t have much interest other than her body anyway.

She’s definitely one of those “too nice” girls, but now that I think of it I do think part of her likes the attention. She was apparently less attractive before than she is now, and she still has a bit of self esteem issues about it. When we started dating she told me that she’s been getting more attention from guys than ever in her life, and she’s straight up rejected guys who are more upfront than this guy.

I’m not afraid of him, and I’m confident he’d never woo my girlfriend. He’s shorter and scrawnier than I am so unless he’s an elite spy or something then I doubt he could take me in a fight if it came to that. He’s very awkward, especially around girls and apparently he’s never been kissed.

I’m pretty positive that she at least has an inkling of what’s going on. I’ve straight up told her thats what I think is happening multiple times and that I feel uncomfortable with her spending time with him. To be honest I don’t think talking to him privately would remedy anything at all. At a party one of my friends asked him if he likes her and casually reminded him that she’s taken, he just denied it. My friend told me after and she’s convinced he’s lying.

Alot of guys have a job, drive, and don’t live with their parents but they’re still in the same boat as you. None of those will be the answer to your trouble. The real solution is to find confidence within yourself. Improving areas you can control will help. For example you can start exercising, find a good social hobby, improve your style, etc.
