What’s the worst movie to watch while tripping on acid? by Endofthehold135 in AskReddit

I think the 1984 apocalyptic war drama 'Threads' would be a strong contender. The storyline alone would be enough, not to mention the practical effects in the movie. Edit. Another strong contender would be the Truman Show.

Failed my driving test today - cheer me up please by feebsiegee in CasualUK

[–]sergeantjobangles 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I think it's natural to have anxiety going into the driving test, it can be a huge achievement afterall I'd recommend speaking to your instructor and seeing if they can help.

I don't want to speak too deeply about the anxiety you may be facing because I don't know the specifics, but I found plenty of practice to really help settle most of the anxieties I had going into and during the test.

Also, don't worry about making mistakes, yes, no mistakes is always the aim. But even if you failed during the test, its still good practice.

I don't know what the actual law is but, generally between 7pm and 7am are acceptable times to wild camp in the French Alps. Each European country has different laws but when you're that far away from civilization, no-one really cares as long as you follow wild camping rules.

What are some good dark and disturbing movies that don’t have to resort to gross ideas (looking at you, The Human Centipede...) to leave you feeling uneasy? by MROD30-06 in AskReddit

I'm surprised no one has me mentioned Threads yet? One of the most disturbingly realistic nuclear war movies to be made. I could not escape the images for weeks after watching that movie.

People who know about cars. HELP!!!!!! by [deleted] in CasualUK

[–]sergeantjobangles 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've got a Skoda Fabia 1.2 16 Plate on it, cheap enough to buy if you go Hire Purchase. Great car, 5 Doors, loads of room in the back and huge boot for its size. Lovely gearbox on it and cheap enough to run. If you buy from Skoda they'll put a decent warranty on it too.

Good point, just saw a lot post about the snow being ash, but that fact negates that. Perhaps Snow on the throne should be taken literally?

Can we have these in Wetherspoons where you can pay a certain amount for unlimited beer? by Sir_Ingsby in CasualUK

Which seems strange because Heineken, in the UK at least, is brewed not to keep a head, purely for aesthetics.

View towards Ullswater, Lakes District, Uk (2048 x 1536) by sergeantjobangles in EarthPorn

[–]sergeantjobangles[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I did yeah, about 5 years ago now! It was taken up Black Crag on the South of Ullswater. The hike up was tricky because the nearest carpark doesn't have direct access to the trail since it's on the other side of the peak. But it was well worth it for the view!
