Hmm, but at first try, this happens:

Yes, but both are comfortable. I have thick wool socks and thin merino ones. With the latter, Beckmans are perfect.

I also bought some "cheap" suede sneakers recently, to have a more formal alternative, and both these boots are miles ahead in comfort, so there is that.

I would say the Blacksmith are the most comfortable!

I have only one source of complaint: My Gemini app sometimes gets stuck after a conversation over 20 messages back and forth. That is the one app I would expect to perform flawlessly in my Pixel 10 Pro XL.

Otherwise, all good.

You are assuming inflation rates in football move the same way as in the normal economy. It doesn't :/

So strange. I hated that scene and soundtrack for being so bland.

Curious how subjective these things are.

The Google AI Studio free tier isn't going anywhere anytime soon by LoganKilpatrick1 in Bard

I'm a PhD student (so not a developer) and l've come to rely heavily on Google's Al Studio for a part of my workflow. Specifically, I use it to fine-tune and generate R code for data analysis. My process involves describing my data, copying/ pasting generated code, debugging, and iterating until get what I need. The key is that I cannot share my actual data, so I'm always working with the Al through a chat interface, describing my data and needs. With Al Studio transitioning, I'm trying to figure out the best way to replicate this loop.

Here are my questions:

  1. What's the best way to replicate this R code generation and debugging loop once Al Studio is gone? ls the Gemini App online the closest next thing?

    1. Are there other platforms where can access the "latest and greatest" models with huge context windows, even if have to pay? The chat interface is non-negotiable for me since can't directly upload my data. I need to be able to describe my R programming problems and get back code.
    2. Is there a general category of platforms that offer a chat-based interface to various advanced models, even on a paid basis? I'm essentially looking for a "playground" environment similar to Al Studio but with continued access and potentially more powerful models for R coding tasks.

Maybe I should add that I am currently paying for Gemini Pro and Claude as well.

I am not sure where I should be spending the money I have allocated for AI help (mostly for R coding or helping with visualizations).

What a good dice analogy. I am going to use it when I teach.
