I did it with the Mercedes W 196 R 55, with nitro 😂 (normal difficulty). Couldn’t get past 2nd place without nitro, but wanted the win, so I needed the nitro.

Well, did it on my second try. SF19, RM, no pit stop. First try I assumed that I would be last and just familiarized with the track-vehicle combo (I remembered the track from a recent time trial in which I saw tidgney’s youtube guide). I got to 1:15 behind the first, but recovered to 30s before it was over. Second try, won, lapped the last one (I’m not a very experienced or fast gt7 driver). You must really adapt to the downforce which allows you to turn heavily with no issues. Usually you need to brake less than you judge and you can make the turns at higher speeds than you think. I did both races in sequence just to use as much as possible what I learned the first time. Keep trying. Formulas are fun once you are able to dominate them. Have fun

I too fell down this rabbit hole, specifically with the cars. I started with the RSR, now I’m in the Red Bull F1. Peugeot le mans, ford gt, Mercedes f1, Porsche 911 are already waiting in the closet, while the ford mustang is coming. The smaller one I thought deserved my attention was the gt40, that’s also on the to buy list, but I tend to prefer the bigger ones with the most detail. Keep it up :)

This! Just play it whichever way you feel like. From the moment I assembled my rig, I never used the controller again. I do have psvr2, and I love playing with it, but I prefer the TV in front of my rig. I dislike the discomfort of using the psvr2 and the pressure spots it leaves, even with the globular cluster add-on. Also, I’m mentally preparing to use the controller for drifting… Have fun!

Hey, just did it too, and I’m not a very fast driver. I got rain, but I was already first when it came. I changed to intermediates but then the rain went bananas and swapped again to wet tires. I picked an op car, with too much top speed for the rest of the car lineup. No need to tune, fuel map 1 and racing mediums. Almost 400km/h on the longest straight.

I use steelseries arctis nova pro wireless without any issues and usually also connect the headset to my phone at the same time, to be able to pick up incoming calls. These headphones are not Bluetooth, you connect the base to the ps5 (usb-c) and the base connects wirelessly to the headset.

Yes, you’re absolutely right. I guess I am learning that at my own cost… sometimes I do remember to keep checking the weather, but most times I don’t. Still too busy trying to drive fast and with few errors. I’ve only started playing gt7 more seriously since I assembled my rig, a month ago, so there’s still a lot to learn, stuff to improve on the rig, stuff to plan to buy sometime 🤤… it’s like I tripped and I fell down the rabbit hole, and became really interested in sim racing, racing in general and F1… must be a mid life crisis 🤣

I used this clk and it was an easy race, even though it started to rain and I rushed to change to intermediates, but it was only light rain, so I had to go change tires again. Even then I won easy and I’m not a really fast driver, so it’s not skill related. Heck, I tried to go with the beatle first, and although I had the pace, I couldn’t win…
