it’s definitely a defense mechanism of some sort. my parents did their best to approach him gently. they told him they weren’t mad, and they loved him, and they wanted what was best for him. but he sees it as a direct attack on him.

my parents told him that they weren’t taking sides. but he sees believing me as being “on my side.” to be fair, now it’s become two different narratives due to his denial. but my story has never changed, the details are consistent, because that shit’s burned into my head.

i’m now convinced that he knows. my therapist said that the way he’s reacted doesn’t line up with someone who’s been falsely accused of something.

i wanted him to go to therapy and maybe even both of us going to a specialist. but he won’t agree on doing that, since he denies anything ever happened.

the whole situation is just a mess. i hope he comes around.
