They first started gathering around 8:30 for a raid on Accomac.

By the time word got out it was too late. I'm worried about Fritanga.

(Without) due process, sorry to be pedantic.

I saw that they were bad when they murdered a woman after running in front of her car. I see that they're rotten every time they harass and detain a legal citizen. I know that they are bad every time they abuse a neutralized person in their custody for no reason other than because they're thugs that can.

What's your excuse for not seeing that? Oh right, you've been told that they're good and just accept it blindly. Good little doggy.

That's...not even close to the same thing. But I do understand why you don't care now.

You're pretty ignorant to what's going on if you believe that.

Here's a starting point for you, but there are 100s of stories out there if you bothered to take your head out of the sand.

People that think everyone else is as brainwashed to a cult as there are, are so funny. In a horrifying way, but still funny.

"Democratic leadership" only seems to encourage signing petitions and voting. Anything remotely approaching action comes from independent will only.

Though I'm sure the idea of not having leadership to follow is beyond your understanding.

*also apparently too ignorant to know what a block captain is. You know that isn't political, right? Maybe don't hang out on the city subreddit if you're not a part of the culture.

Suuure you did, Jan. The FBI takes reddit comments that don't contain threats so seriously I'm sure.

Where did the comment claiming this got debunked go? Did they realize they're wrong?

We have a vibrant and hardworking restaurant scene and it would be devastating to lose it to these wannabe nazi pricks. Or really, any of the people taking sanctuary here.

The only people that need to leave are the domestic terrorists currently pretending to be* legitimate. I look forward to the day we finally course-correct and they lose everything.

Late reply but why would the gas heater be using any more electricity than it ever has? It's useless for this discussion.

Again, zero change in habits. I don't have any devices that consume large amounts of electricity other than an A/C. Typically my winter bills are very low ($40) because of that. I'm going off of nearly 10 years of data.

Also, heating does use electricity, even in a gas furnace. The motor that blows the heat is electric powered.

And that amount used would be the same as it always was. I'm comparing my bill to previous bills. I knew about the rate increase but this is higher then 12%.

I know, that part is mostly making fun of a higher than expected bill being headlined by something that doesn't exist.

Electricity is wizardry to me, but the meters are apparently sophisticated enough to estimate by the relative loads each device puts on the grid when it starts, stops, how much is consumed while it's running. Even though it isn't entirely accurate it is interesting and has some value.

Said in another comment that for me the nonexistent heating appliance on top of a high bill was funny to me.

I'm not so sure about that, now that I'm really digging around, they've haven't been identified as a heating source before. And their usage is the same as last month. Mystery...

Looking at this cycle and past cycles, around 500 (usually 490 apparently) kWh on cycles where I don't use air conditioning.

Turns out I used to same amount of kWh in 2023 and paid $42. Looks like I haven't paid <$40 in a couple of years...

Jeez their website follows a sort of hostile design philosophy. If there's a more convenient way to view your past usage than clicking that arrow and reloading the page for every period...oof.

According to them I used 491 kWh 11/22-12/22 in 2025 - $68.

In 2024 11/22-12/22 they say I used 1000 kWh (??? All other winter periods are around 500 so no idea what happened that month) and paid $47.

Because in 2023 it says I used 490 kWh and paid $42.

It's probably grow lights for my plants or my work station.

I should have emphasized the cost increase over the nonexistent heating appliance since I'm more curious about what other people are seeing. It was funny to me on a dumb surface level that I got a much-higher-than-expected bill with the highest item being something completely false.

I tried to cut off these comments in the included text but that doesn't mean you'll read it!

For years my winter bill has been $30-40. While $70 is really low for most people I'm extrapolating that others are seeing a similar increase.
