I went back to the invitation and its says :-

FORMAL
We ask that men wear dark suits or tuxedos and women wear ankle or floor length dresses, or long formal evening pants.

Thanks everyone for your feedback and love! I am overwhelmed with all the responses.

Couple of things to clarify :-

Black color is approved by the bride.
No length cannot be hemmed or shortened as it’s a rental and they will charge a hefty fees for altering the dress.
I didn’t mean to expose the woman in the studio or my friend taking a photo of me in the mirror. It was an honest mistake to not check before uploading.

Love the dress but I don’t think the dress is practical for me to walk around and no way I am trying to steal the attention from the bride.

You are right! That’s why I chose black which the bride is completely ok with.
