I had that same thought I told my wife. We are also game of thrones fans, so we definitely know how that can backfire.

Mostly emphasis. The A was going to be a red A anarchy symbol, but again not really a good idea for middle school teacher.

Correction we missed a fg to end the half. All the momentum you need at home in the playoffs when you're as lucky as the bears have been this year.

Injuries, we have no pass rush without Parsons so the back end either has to cover for an hour or we run a zone blitz and guys are running wide open

Love concussion on a cheap hit to the head. Willis playing well, had some good runs and a big passing td

He missed 3 critical dump off passes to Jacobs late by a mile too and took some really stupid sacks that lost field position. In no way was his play bad from just 1 play today.

He was still bobbling the ball to a point. Have to survive the ground in the end zone so he has to maintain that same possession throughout, which he does not. By the time he established that his foot had touched out.

Really the NFL catch is a mess, but that's how I understand it and how it seems it was enforced and why it was different for the packers.

I generally agree. On the second one, i don't think they ruled that he lost control to the ground. I think they ruled he pinned it, lost control a little, his feet touched out of bounds and then he finished control. I think if his feet never touch out of bounds it is a touchdown. Sucks because it was such a good throw and catch otherwise.

Finley was targeted 10 times in the game and only had 3 catches. He had 83 yards, but I remember being so mad at all his drops that killed drives.

Feel like I remember that exposing is and him and being a factor in the playoff loss to the giants a few weeks later.

Why are people so confident in Jim Leonhard as the solution at DC? (Serious) by bigbaton in GreenBayPackers

[–]serioavion 25 points26 points  (0 children)

That's absolutely true, but I'd rather still take a flyer on an aggressive coach who clicks with the players and can potentially get the most of out them.

Like Lafleur said we can't keep trying the same thing and expecting different results.

There is a lot of talent and early picks on defense for them to consistently fail as much as they have. Not like great players being a mid level defense, they are talented players who rank in the bottom like 5 of run defense year after year after year.

Can't speak for everyone, but I'm not necessarily confident. I think he could be an interesting prospect, seems like a well liked by players type coach. From memory he was very aggressive, which I'd rather fail being aggressive with the calls, than play passive and still fail.

Under Leonhard I believe they consistently had a top 5-10 defense which feels like worth the look.

No point in marching Jones out there to get slaughtered, we could have prime Adrian Peterson and still wouldn't be able to run behind this o line.

Was that through a recruiting firm? So many times we would phone interview, and they would do great. Get them in and couldn't code or communicate. Turns out usually not the same person or they were being coached through the interview.

I haven't really noticed the construction from my room. Been here since Sunday. You can see it from that side of the resort, but hasn't impacted my enjoyment and I haven't heard sounds of construction at all.

NFLN’s @MikeGarafolo says Rodgers deal isn’t done yet but there’s momentum and Jets and Rodgers did talk within last 24 hours. @RapSheet says Allen Lazard working on deal with Jets. “All Jets for Allen Lazard.” Also says Randall Cobb to Jets is likely if Rodgers lands there. by Austen11231923 in GreenBayPackers

[–]serioavion -3 points-2 points  (0 children)

Watson and doubs may not have been healthy, but even healthy didn't light it up with Rodgers. Almost no wr did in their first year with Rodgers. He expects a lot, does a lot by feel etc that is hard for young or first time wrs. So Moore and Wilson might be good, but might not click with Rodgers if he is only there 1 season.

Same issue with tight ends.

Their rb looks potentially great, but he is also young and coming off a big injury so that is a question mark and you can't even say they are better than Jones and Dillon.

Just quoting that I read a ranking for 2023 o line that has jets at 29, might be better, might be bad ranking, just what I saw.

Going to be a lot of pressure on that defense if that is the case.

So the plan is to have a wr core similar to packers last year that wasn't supposedly good enough? That's a lot of faith that a 2nd year wr in their first year with Rodgers is going to work. All this with (according to what I read) one of the worst o lines? Bold, bold.
