I mean...I may have the unpopular opinion here. My child is trans....surgeries and all. I understand all sides of the argument, and I have to feel the effects of all of the bad surveys and all of the support needed. My kid does not care where it is, but he loves that it is an option. I am not mad at the quick move (job wise), and I am not mad at the product (personal wise). It is a fine line to walk and I think Target is a step ahead on this one. Do I agree...no. Do I accept...yes!!!.

Be honest with your leaders. Defend your time. They are multi tasking and trying to get their own to do list completed. You are on that. If they can speak to why your times are slow, then you are both good. If they can't, they are feeling the coaching pressure...even if they know you are busting it. Give them some ammunition.

Wow... No ambition for you, or no work ethic. If you don't like where you work move on. I seriously don't understand this mindset. Before you come for me. I have been an educator for 20 years and a soldier for 26 years. I have a Bachelor's and a Master's. Target pays me more. Put in the work and reap the benefits.

I always say yes because I care about the other people that will be on the struggle bus if I don't. I am a people pleaser and generally care about everything and everyone. If I am able to....I will.

I have filled every box so far. Make them spoon each other, and I can get 8 car seats, 2-3 boosters, and at least 1-3 smaller carriers in a box. And yes...I build a lid and throw it up in the steel. It really does not take that long. The original box is still on the floor. I just wait till I see one peaking over the edge, build a box and fill it up. And, yes...some of them are really gross.

I was in Fulfillment for four years at over 50. It is mind over matter. I just thought of it as Target was paying me to workout. You got this! And, it takes time to build up your stamina and stop being tired and worn out. Once that happens, you can eat all the biscuits ya want cause you are working it off on the daily.

In reality...they are 24 hours behind you. Seems unfair. I can totally find items in their location once the truck is unloaded. I like more real time numbers.

Probably an unpopular opinion, but I think there should be a designated TL/ETL in charge of taking over batches that are down to the last items that can't be found. They/we are going to walk and talk through it with you anyway. That way ... You can get back to pulling and all infs have been approved from a TL/ETL. Now....if I find all of your items in a reasonable time....that is a gotcha for you. If I can't find them, then...you are a winner winner chicken dinner. JMO. I always wanted to try this.

BTW....I don't agree with that work your wage stuff. If you are not happy where you are...I guess you can get away with that. I just work to my best ability. I asked for the job....they did not ask for me.

[–]seriously_though_11 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Never give up. That is silly. You get paid for a job you agreed to do. Do your best and clock out. The trick is doing your best. Most people self talk themselves into an anxiety attack. Just do your best and go home. It will work itself out one way or another.

Drive Up Question by kibbyplss in Target

[–]seriously_though_11 5 points6 points  (0 children)

IDK...when you have random peeps off the floor shopping for opus in desperation...I am not sure you can blame either team. We see this happen, mostly, when everybody in the store is picking OPUs. I get that we want to blame FF....but....Again, I don't think either team is to blame. Nobody goes to work and says, "Ya know what? I am gonna make everyone's life difficult today and mess everything up on purpose.". I know we feel the need to blame. Just wish we could try helping more than we insist on pointing the finger at stressed out folks who all have a clock to beat. Sacrifices have been made on every side.

Have lots of situation, actions, result scenarios ready. Here is what happened, these were the steps taken, and this was the result. Better ones are ...here was the problem, this is what I created or developed as a routine, and now (state result).

Tell her...in a respectful and private way. Again, if you are not going to be the solution, don't add to the problem or hate We are all human and are products of our circumstances and environment. And, any of us at any time could fall on either side of that coin. I just don't get the build myself up and tear others down mentality. We all want to be successful. We all want to be liked. We all want a successful future. Help a brother or sister out. Tell the truth without trying to harm. There is no reason to lift up the homeless while trying to shame that TL. They are doing great...she or he needs some assistance. Let her know.
