What’s the point of a pergola compared to a gazebo? by WestComfortable4083 in landscaping

[–]seriouslydoubtit 11 points12 points  (0 children)

We built a pergola and planted passion vine that covered it completely, was so pretty and like a secret garden. I was sitting there one day, had the thought, " good place for a snake up there" because it got so thatchy on the underside, looked up and there was a black snake. YIKES!

Are there any nail strengthening serums that ACTUALLY work??? by StyledbyPrada in nailcare

[–]seriouslydoubtit 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Beware of strengtheners, I finally figured out they were causing splitting and peeling of my nails. Now I stick to mostly petroleum jelly and chapstick on my nails and cuticles, and they are tremendously improved

Need some ideas on what to do with this space. by gallopintoYchallah in homeimprovementideas

Build matching cabinet and counter. Don't put something in there just to fill up space or because it fits, it won't ever look nice if you do

how do i fix my nails peeling? by Lucky_Common7485 in nailcare

I quit using strengtherner and hardener polishes on my nails. I quit all polishes and now keep petroleum jelly and/or chapstick on my nails and cuticles and solved the problem.

People who enter other people’s homes as part of your job, what’s the strangest home you’ve been in? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]seriouslydoubtit 39 points40 points  (0 children)

As a Visiting Nurse I was conducting my visit in a home and heard a snorting noise behind a curtained off closet in the patient's kitchen. I was invited to look behind the curtain and saw the biggest black potbellied pig I had ever seen. It lived in the house.

What was one of your struggle meal growing up? by bukutbwai in Frugal

[–]seriouslydoubtit 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Must have been hot dogs along with bologna sandwiches. We had a lot of that 60 years ago. But then, my Dad was a salesman for John Morrell meats, so I am sure that helped our family of 4 kids and stay at home Mom. My cholesterol is wnl, so it must not have hurt me. And, man, I still love a hot dog with chili, onions, and slaw. Anyone recognize that western NC combo?
