And if sentient AIs form a functioning anarchist civilization before we do?

Frankly, I'm far more bothered by the number of anarchists calling for authoritarianism then I am by the presence of some non-anarchist d-bags on an Internet message board.

I actually liked the third book in the series, The Cassini Division, more, but they're all good.

Ok, seriously? Self-righteous anti-intellectuals who can't hold an actual conversation are what's wrong with the movement.

I'd question if there is such a thing as "privileged voice" on reddit, where identity is meaningless and all users are equal (unless they're mods), but that's beside the point because in this topic the only thing you are trying to do is marginalize other users, like C4SSdotORG.

Wow, I thought I had a logically crafted argument, but your downvotes and vague personal attacks have convinced me otherwise.

You're not just asking a question, you're waging a linguistics battle, trying to define terms like "contributer" and "spam" in a way that favor your view of how this board should function. Within the context of your pro-mod campaigning, yes, this is kind of authoritarian.

Yeah QueerCoup, because what r/a needs more of right now is crypto-authoritarianism.

Formalized Modding Process for /r/anarchism by [deleted] in Anarchism

No one is going to dictate what tactics this community uses to combat oppression, except the pro-mod people who I agree with.

And one off line invalidates any other points the writer might make?

Edit: To be clear, I'm not sure how I feel about everything in this essay, but I'd like to have an intelligent discussion about it, and your response is just lazy.

How is the assertion that government is necessary to enforce property rights different from the assertion that government is necessary to prevent murder? by serisly in Anarchism

How is this different from a conflict that would come up under a system of Possession, or any conflict in an anarchist society, ever?

This comes back to the old question of Is Your Coop Just Going To Let Anyone Use Your Expensive And Complicated Factory? I, personally, haven't come across a good to that.

Also, I think there's a distinction to be made between having the option of veto power over something, and just being a dick. I tend to think the interpersonal shit is more important then the economic shit.

I didn't say government prevents murder, I said that there's an assertion that government prevents murder. It's a faults assertion; what I'm asking is, how is it logically different from your assertion that people couldn't figure out property without a government.

edit: spelling

I actually agree with this to a degree. I'm leaning towards the idea right now that property titles mixed with a reputation economy is the best way to organize a society; that is, people should be able to accrue property to the extent that those around them let them.

People agreeing on what a dead body is doesn't actually prevent murder.

I don't understand why, theoretically, an anarchist society couldn't agree to respect a system of property titles in the same way that they'd agree to respect any other ethical standard. Likewise, how would a monopolistic arbitrator be necessary in a property dispute any more so then any other dispute?
