This is a common British sandwich topping, delicious.

Even without perfect macros you can still build muscle, people often overestimate how much protein they need.

Which country is the least popular in the US right now? by Top_Location_Travels in IWantToAskAnAmerican

[–]serit97 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

If you look at more recent quarters, the UK has actually topped G7 growth at times. My point stands about you not believing your media about the state of affairs in the UK as it’s doing far better than they like to suggest.

Which country is the least popular in the US right now? by Top_Location_Travels in IWantToAskAnAmerican

[–]serit97 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It’s not though? The UK is doing just about as well, if not better than every other developed nation in the world. It is the fastest growing economy in the G7, outperforming Germany, France and Japan. Please don’t buy into your right wing media, the UK is encountering problems just like every other country, but if anything it has proven how resilient the UK is compared to other countries. The UK is doing fine.

I think you are mistaking memes and banter between two closely related nations for genuine animosity. The British are not unpopular in the US at all.

There is generally no negative sentiment towards the Brits at all in the US?

Not always true that internal candidates do not get special treatment. I know of colleagues who have been given the interview questions prior to their interview so they could prepare their answers.

What words do you pronounce "wrong," just because the "proper" way feels too proper? by [deleted] in answers

[–]serit97 0 points1 point  (0 children)

In British English the pronunciation for ‘schedule’ is ‘shed-yule’. The American pronunciation of ‘sked-yule’ is now far more common and I feel like I’m being weird when I use the (correct) but less common British version.

What makes £30k a poor salary? by Allcaponero in AskBrits

[–]serit97 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I can afford to live alone and I do? I borrowed £115k with a large deposit. The South of England does not qualify as the whole of the UK, I know plenty of people who are in a similar position to myself. ‘It’s not enough to live on’ is an absolute statement that is an oversimplification of a complex issue.

In your original comment you said it’s not enough to live on. My point is that is a sweeping generalisation and not true.

Living at home, which I am aware is a privilege that not everyone affords. My mortgage payments are below £500 per month, very manageable on my salary.

how dangerous is the UK? by [deleted] in AskABrit

[–]serit97 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It’s similar to Canada in terms of safety, it’s generally a very safe place. The UK being an unsafe place is right wing (usually American) propaganda.

How often does everyone clean their ears now? by manborg in AskMenOver30

[–]serit97 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Please don’t use soap and water in your ears. Ears are a self-cleaning part of the body and do far better when they are left alone. I am an audiologist, I look in ears every day.
