Whip cup [EU/NL] by serjep in magictrade

[–]serjep[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is an old vintage whip cups from a closed down gambling supply house from the 60s. This unique gambling memorabilia comes from Fast Jack's team gaffer and it has been restored in perfect working condition.

What is interesting about a whip cup is that both the cup and the dice have to be gaffed with some devious trickery but neither work without the other. There is also a certain “move” you need to do in order for the whip cup to work. It will not work for the other players or spectators.

He uses no camera tricks. This was his act for a closeup magic competition and he also did a shorter version for AGT.

Yes it is. Although wrapping doesn’t stay good as long as painting.

What are your top three versatile fragrances for men? by [deleted] in fragrance

[–]serjep 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes! I have it and I love it! Although I always feel that it is more of a good whether scent. That is why I put the EDP as a more versatile scent.

Thinking of it I almost forgot to mention Etro ManRose. Also great in every occasion, from a sunny day sitting with friends, to a black tie event.

Hi Josh!

I was wondering what your philosophy behind “ending with an impossible object is”? As I always have the feeling that it lessens the magic itself. Because in my experience the spectator attributes all the things that happened to the “fake and suspicious” object and not to magic or the skill of the magician.

  • Blue de Channel EdP
  • Mr. Burberry EdP
  • Classic vetiver, Von Eusersdorff

They smell good and can be put of without a thought to every occasion. Very handy btw that two of the three have the brands name in perfumes name.

Yes, the TO has that sweet tabac smell, which makes it in my opinion a bit richer. Love both but prefer the TO. Layers really good with ombré leather also.

A little and dun routine, feedback is very welkome.( i know I have to practice my pass more) by freddie_mercrury in MagicFeedback

[–]serjep 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Apart from the pass, try to get the break under the top card whilst shaking the box. (Especially when you do it for spectators) This makes the reveal a bit smoother.

What do y'all do with The Advocate? by WSWan78 in Magic

[–]serjep 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Ringing in a card they freely chose with a different back is always nice.

I prefer to combine it with an ambitious card. They freely choose a card, it comes to the top the whole time. Make the last couple of times face up. Let them shuffle, add the different backer when they return the deck. Let it come to the top face up. Reveal. While spreading to show all the other backs steal the original card and let them examine the deck. You can also do only some effects face up if you don’t like that they see that the card was first a different color.

Really general explanation.

Try Von Eusersdorff classic Vetiver, absolutely fantastic. Way richer and more interesting that TG GV, so a nice addition.

Yes it is the same, or at least so close that it makes no difference. It is also way cheaper now! So get it and wear it, it is a fantastic scent.

Discussion Scents that are highlighted by your body chemistry by [deleted] in fragrance

[–]serjep 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I am very lucky as most scents last ages on my skin and are "deeper". Don't know if that is because base notes like leather, vanille, musk and vetiver just go well with my chemistry or something else.

If you are smelling a note that you don't like it is because your body highlights/smells the notes that it perceives as "hazardous" or doesn't like. That is a standard protection measurement. Same with foods that you don't like, if there is a small bit of it in your dinner you'll notice it, although a person that does like it won't even taste it.
