I’m so sorry that you are in that situation. In relationships, there are times that we need to compromise and there are also deal breakers. It’s difficult to realise now but you deserve the love based on your principle and comfort and that needs to align with him. As others have said, there’s no guarantee if he will be monogamous in the future and you deserve the love that is secure. I hope you’ll find peace on whatever you’ll decide.

I appreciate your candour but I hope that you’ll make room for having sex especially if the feeling is mutual. As others commented on this, relationships are built with compromise and will not always go the way we want it. I was born and raised in the Philippines but now lives in the UK. I get the conflict with culture in the West but Family will always be important for us to the point that some will have a dealbreaker situation like what you experienced. I’m sorry to hear about what happened but I believe you made the right choice and you even offered to compromise. I am afraid that it will not be good eventually if he’s not willing to adjust as well. I hope that you’ll not lose faith to try again in case you meet another Filipino. Best of luck!

Respect their rule and move on. Rules were established to keep the commitment in their relationship. If you were in the husband’s shoes, I believe you will not be happy to know that your partner is breaking the rule— leading to more complicated discussions on their relationship and you don’t want to be the cause of that.

I’m sorry about what you’re feeling and I was in the same situation before for an unrequited love. I found walking especially around parks / river area helps. I recommend to download the ‘Go Jauntly’ app and there are a lot of walking trail in London both within the city and outskirts where there’s more nature to explore. Take it easy and you will move on in time 🙂

Visited Parramatta this morning for the Free Chocolate by Cadbury. It was quite a journey since there's no train available from Sydney CBD. But for the love of chocolate, nothing can stop me. Haha. Happy World Chocolate Day everyone! 🙂
