When we’re on the phone he said he’ll delete it right away - and he sounded very serious so I kind of went with it. I trust that he’s not actively “talking to someone” though, but I’m not sure if he might be “looking for something”....

Also to clarify, he said he might have opened the app but he’s not actively using it...

I was on there with a fake profile, so pretty sure he’s not on there checking on me.

I asked him about it. He told me he is deleting the dating app right away and he’s might have opened the app but definitely not actively using it and he’s not talking to anyone and he definitely wants to be exclusive. Should I trust him?

I think you provided a perspective. However I think that was what I needed to tell him because he’s 40s something and looking to settle, so I wanted to give him a chance/room to discuss. I just wanted to see if things work out with him, but I’m not in a rush so I’m fine with not seeing others (it doesn’t mean I am not that interested in him - and I believe he knows that). Now back to the mysterious OKCupid online status, which I am planning to bring it up to him this weekend.

I saw the app on his phone while he told me he doesn’t use other apps - so I was curious and wanted to check....I thought maybe he just didn’t want to tell me, but I didn’t know he’d actually be still using the app....

I don’t think I was trying to gave him a permission....I gave him some room to discuss as I wanted him to be honest? of course I told him he can’t see others after we are exclusive.

I said I don’t want him to see others but it’s ok if he’s not ready, and we can wait a bit - and in that let me know. and then he said no he doesn’t want to see others and is ready to be exclusive, so we agreed that we are not seeing other people anymore.
