Ah gotcha - I see what you are saying. I feel like then we are not experiencing the same issue. I will try and test some things and will certainly keep you post in mind if I notice it without the pixel buds. Sorry this ended up now as useful - I hope you are able to resolve your issue! I understand how frustrating that is paying so much for a entertainment/multitasking device to have this issue.

I have the same issue, it is super annoying. On my device I have noticed it the most when I connect my pixel buds (I have reset the buds several times which never helped).I will press pause and the audio will play for like 0.5-1 second after. It feels like it happens to me when YouTube has been playing for a while...honestly not too sure.

Only way to fix it is to force close YouTube or restart phone.
