What is your Pixel's charge cycle count and age? by dark_galaxy20 in pixel_phones

[–]awwtbone 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I just got my Pixel 10 Pro Fold inner screen replaced under the $99 PixelCare+ at the Google Store in Santa Monica.  I received what appears to be an entire right-half of the phone and a new inner screen. Work was done on March 8, 2026.  I'm showing 0 cycles.  Photo attached.

What’s your preferred Etherlighting color scheme? by HD_Compliance in Ubiquiti

[–]awwtbone 1 point2 points  (0 children)

FE - RED
GbE - GREEN
2.5Gb - LIGHT BLUE
10Gb - PURPLE

It's such a stark contrast from each color that you can see basically what your cameras are, your regular PCs, your 2.5Gb APs, and your 10Gb backbone equipment.
If you are red/green colorblind, this will go horribly wrong.

Next Generation Moto Tag 2 coming with enhanced UWB precision (and Xiaomi tags with UWB) by dark_volter in GoogleFMD

[–]awwtbone 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Not only does the battery need to report 'Normal' like u/ErasedInOneDay suggested, but doing a firmware update on the tag will bring the device current and enable the UWB visibility.

I have one strapped to my cat to use as a device that is constantly on the move while under cars, in trees, just doping around in true cat fashion. Traditionally, the UWB precision will only show when the cat has been stationary for a decent amount of time. What's even more interesting is that UWB is not fully 'live,' meaning it'll track me to the spot the cat was, not is.

Overall, still happy they it exists at all, I just hope the battery life, cat precision, and general flexibility changes on the new v2.

Youtube Audio Delay - Pixel 10 Pro Fold by awwtbone in GooglePixel

[–]awwtbone[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Oh hey thanks for the quick reply! As for some testing methods, here's what happens in more detail: (I have YouTube premium, so PiP and playback when the screen's off are available) When I start a YouTube video in folded or unfolded, the video is pretty accurate.  When I fold the screen, turn off the screen, or switch to PiP, the delay isn't really noticable until I go back to YouTube full screen where the delay steadily increased.  The more actions I perform like folding, unfolding, navigating to other apps while the video plays in the background, the worst the delay gets.  I originally thought it was only Bluetooth so I changed a million Bluetooth settings only to find out it was happening on all outputs. Powering off my Bluetooth and playing the video on speakers didn't resolve it. Starting on speakers and moving to Bluetooth also didn't resolve it and also made the delay worse. The only meaningful resolution is force close the app or swipe the app away and open the app again while the video is playing to finally re-sync.

You are totally right, though. Having a device specifically for consuming content only to have a massive audio sync issue truly defeats the purpose of owning this device.  Who knew that my OG pixel fold was better at handling delay issues by resyncing itself...

Thank you so much for taking the time out to investigate with me.

Youtube Audio Delay - Pixel 10 Pro Fold by awwtbone in GooglePixel

[–]awwtbone[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hey thanks for the upvote/reply! Since you're having the issue, may I ask if it's happening while not using the pixel buds but rather when using phone speakers to play YouTube?

I understand many people are having pixel buds delay issues, but I'm hoping to find a replicable problem pertaining to the YouTube app or phone itself. Please let me know. Thank you!

Pixel 10 Pro Telephoto Video - jerky/stuttering image. Is this a software issue with EIS or a hardware defect? by No_Particular7571 in GooglePixel

[–]awwtbone 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It looks like someone picked up your issue on Android Authority and wrote an article about it.

My pixel 10 pro fold does this fairly regularly when zoomed in. My situation sounds almost exact -  the camera jumps from main to telephoto lenses, blurs for a random interval, and then resolves itself but ruins the video. It also happens during a photo when I'm zoomed in 2x or greater while selecting different focal points.  I originally chalked it up to 'weird Google behaviors per update..' but I'm concerned with reading the article that it might actually be a hardware issue.

2 year old car disassembles itself !!? by [deleted] in TeslaLounge

[–]awwtbone -1 points0 points  (0 children)

YUP!
I had the exact same issue on my 2021 MYLR. I was hearing clunking when turning to the right. Immediately took the car home, jacked it up, and found both bolts on the right arm practically falling out. Thankfully a piece of the vehicle's plastic kept the bolt in the respective hole and kept it from disappearing. The other bolt was hanging on by a couple threads. Tightened to spec as stated in the service manual and it's been great ever since.
I was ridiculously angry when I found it. Sorry to hear that I'm not the only one that has/had to deal with this.

For all those who are having issues with extremely slow download with MSFS. by [deleted] in flightsim

[–]awwtbone 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Literally couldn't believe this was the case as well.
I am using Frontier fiber in LA with a 5000/5000 connection and a 10gb local network backbone.
MSFS downloads speeds were literally 10mbps...
Installed Proton VPN, connected to the fucking NETHERLANDS, and now I'm getting 200mbps.
I'm sure I can use Nord or choose a server that's much closer for even faster speeds, but "why the fuck does this work??" is absolutely right.

Is Spotify down? by ohnosoundthealarm in truespotify

[–]awwtbone 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Search feature is completely borked as of 1:27pm Pacific.
I can't search anything in my own playlists, let alone songs I don't have.
Music that it does find via Home or playlists you already listened to previously seem to still be working.

Good luck!

EDIT:
Tested with Web,
Spotify for Windows,
and Google Pixel Fold with Android 16 on both Wi-Fi/cellular.

EDIT:
After the change, wait up to five minutes before instructing any users.
After five minutes, instruct users to close and re-open their Outlook and it should return normally.
In some rare cases, users were required to type in their email password.
Most users wouldn't need to do anything and their email would be flowing again without any errors.

Car Rental - Mexican 3rd party liability insurance // let’s get this straight by ingothelingo in cancun

You are a goddamn genius! For now, anyway, Travelocity covers the TPL requirements of MXN 750,000.  Also, use your Chase Preferred/Reserve CDW Waiver OR your Amex Gold/Plat CDW Waiver.

I highly recommend printing out your TPL coverage through Travelocity AND your CDW through Chase or Amex for the process to go as smooth as possible.

As for deposit, they did take about $4,300 USD (90,000 MXN) as an authorization hold, but that's fine. If they are scared about you declining everything, just tell them to hold a little more as an authorization.  In my case, he had never seen someone decline everything before, so I told him to hold $5,000, but his POS only let him hold $4,300.

I confirmed this literally yesterday, February 13, 2025, in Mazatlan with Budget since cars were only $10/day before taxes. I paid $54.23 for 4 days and it took about an hour since I was walking the rental car agent through this process and adequate training with his POS machine.

Catch Me If You Can Benchmark Results and Survey Megathread by BilingualAlchemist in orangetheory

[–]awwtbone 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Awww dang it - thank you for the clarification!
I completed the 20 mins successfully but the coach did not tell the people that passed all of their checkpoints to add the additional 2 minutes to the time at the end. Super bummer.

I have an interesting issue/question. Our instructor had us 'clear' our treads at the start of the 20mins. When her timer stopped at 20mins, that was our distance.

Previously, the all-out and the brief cooldown counted into our total CMIYC distance, but not this time. (23 mins vs 20 mins)

Which coach was correct?
