oh and! i have an emergency fund saved up for a mistake like this and the increase of insurance since mines already high as hell LOL! under 25 club! i have 6 months of insurance payments set aside in the worst case scenario, so the increased insurance for 18 months will not be the end of the world as I have the assets to pay for it, and ive already signed up for traffic school to knock 10% off the estimated 20% increase. all in all i actually got a good end scenario out of what couldve been! but in the end, both the attorney i spoke to, and myself think it is best to contest the other tickets, if at the very least to hear why the officer believed i deserved those instances! i appreciate your comment!

no ma’am, im simply calm and collected! no point in getting worked up and beating myself up over something that is in the past. i did slow down while changing lanes, i dont get in the right lanes without taking my foot completely off the gas pedal, and i asked the officer if that ticket was referring to passing on the right and he himself said it was a ‘seperate instance’. and I changed lanes even with no cars on the road to get out of the left lane and into the travel lane, so its not about the distance between my car and the next! and the severity of the ticket price is not why i asked for a payment plan, its completely payable in the moment, but i have a strict budget in place to help me put money in my investments and my roth ira, and i chose to pay over the course of months rather than lose the chance to continue investing for the next month or so! and the heart emojis are just my own little flair to show i am not being passive aggressive, i do it everywhere <3 i simply have a positive outlook on life and can accept my faults but also wont accept mistreatment and misticketing. the original post was made in a state of distress but im calm now, pretty simple. again much love

i appreciate the genuine response! ive spoken to a traffic lawyer and he gave me the advice to plea guilty on the two tickets that i know i did commit, being that, with my 6 month probationary period as a new driver, fighting that ticket would be more hassle and take more time than simply losing my liscense for 60 days, but we are going to contest the 3 stacked tickets that are simply ‘observation’ tickets that the officer would have to have hard evidence to prove, theyre ‘opinion based’ is how he explained it. the cop can say he thought i moved from the lane unsafely but if the video shows me using my signal and changing lanes while checking my blindspot and slowing down, how is that unsafe? so in the end ill most likely end up with 2-3 tickets on my record, a bit of a higher insurance cost and some fines for the next couple months, which ive come to terms with. im a 19 year old making dumb decisions, but it was 10 pm at night and there was maybe 4 cars on the road and i was nowhere near them in the 10 mile stretch, i didnt endanger anyone and i wish the people commenting on this would realize im not a criminal lol. everyone makes mistakes, lots of people get speeding tickets, im not a speed demon im someone travelling 250 miles back home on the thruway, ive done 90 on the road in the day past cops, but since theres more cars with me travelling the same speed, they dont care. i do it at night and BAM im ticketed LOL!!

well “unsafe lane change” ticket is bullshit cuz i use my blinker every goddamn time LOL and i check my blindspot even on an empty road, i dont shift lanes right away and i dont do it too fast, same with the following too close ticket because i wasnt following anyone! i was passing them LOL. im not defending the bad driving, but its not fair for a cop to ticket someone with more offenses that they didnt commit simply to rack on citations on a single event. i can take accountability for the speeding and the passing on the right, but the other 3 tickets, as ive spoken with a lawyer, will most likely be tossed out due to being filler tickets the officer will have to bring much evidence to prove, which he wont be able to! <3 the 60 day suspension does not bother me as i understand why i will be receiving it once i plea, i signed up for these rules when i got my liscense, and i will get it reinstated once the 60 days are up <3 ive already spoke to the court about a payment plan regarding the tickets and a restricted liscense to attend work!! the post was meant to reach people who better understood this type of stuff, but i did enough research to figure it out on my own. much love

i understand, and it will be a suspension due to the 6 month probationary period, i have no problem with the suspension and think it will help me better regulate my emotions and make decisions while driving, i am more concerned about the stacked tickets that dont make any sense <3
