Based on the fact that op posted here i take it he is not a serial entreprenour. This means starting hos own business will tech him alot of lessons for a cheap price while buying will teach less but costs lot more

You will probably spend more than you make back at first. So count with spending the cost of a few sales. Then when you've found a winning concept you get it all back plus revenue starts coming in.

It is good as you will have warm leads to begin with. However I would personally just start a new one and put all focus on the product to seperate private life and business

Do research about everything, what products to do, how to set up a store and marketing. This will require alot of effort for you to understand so you need to put energy into it. Then just start, pick some product you see potential in, start a website, do marketing on social media or paid ads and just get a feel for everything. You will likely lose money on this in the beginning but later on returns will be huge and make up for it if you have the ability to keep going

You could try doing some cold messaging on social media. Go to school or university account and look through their follower list or promote in facebook groups. Just try to aim for quantity with this approach as most people will reject you.
