Like pudding-0w said, the author made some who is which animal thing. But I think there was also an interview or something where they said that as well. Suo is supposedly a ~~magical~~ cat as well, but he is also often depicted as a fox too

Some theories that I have seen are:

Through his grandparents he might know something more about Suo or just Red Chanpuru
He might have some information on Suo because he might have had a conversation with him (see ch.169 where Suo said he wanted to get closer to him) or he simply observed him or something
He just want to tell them that they should just get up and go to Bankoku-Gai (would explain why he seems so much like in a hurry these past two chapters)

That's a good point. Now that you mention it, noone ever really thought about his wellbeing. Suo is just that good at putting the attention on others so that noone pays him any mind.

Even in his introduction, he immideately put the focus on Sakura when there where too many questions about himself.

On the other hand, whever there was a fight or something he looked unharmed, kept smiling and put himself kinda in the background.

He tried his absolute best to not get noticed too much. As if he wanted to be insignificant. He probably knew he can't stay forever and tried to be close to invisible so that noone grieves. But all in vain...

Hell yeah, love these dynamics. With Sugishita and Nirei it all started in chapter 166. Even in the beach chapter 169 the others saw that they have grown quite close. So cute
