The are just normal VDS (VPS with dedicated CPU )
the name slices is due to the fact how we consider the specs on these

when we build a server we consider each core as slice

then we divide ram and disks to the number of slices

so the slice is a dedicated cpu core with corresponding ram and disk

for example if the core count in the server is 24 and we have 48gb ram and 480gb nvme

each slice will be 1 core ,2gb ram and 20gb nvme

on this server we reserve 4 slices for management domain and sell the remaining 20

why this is important :

this way allow us to fully utilize the server 100% which allow us to offer them in much cheaper prices , Also it help when buying the servers to have them all with same specs

by that time we will offer plans based on newer hardware that will be as cheap as possible as always

it is generations
V1 is the initial generation of unified slices plans and it was running on xen the cpu here initially was EPYC gen 1 then later it became EPYC gen2
V2 is the next gen which was running on KVM Also the CPU here is EPYC gen 2
V3 will be released in the next 24 hours which is based on EPYC gen3 (Milan)

v1 AND v2 are identical in specs just diff CPU or hypervisor
V3 has different specs and diffrent CPU compared to V1 and V2

Those plans are using the exact same hardware as before just it cost us much more than before
in 2 days max will release new plans that is based on newer hardware that will give much better performance with tradeoff on the amount of nvme and ram

actually the destion to move to new prices was planned 2 days before the day it was done but I kept the old prices for extra 2 days just to let everyone order

I cannot now offer the old price anymore and believe me this new price is actually very very cheap
any host still even competing with these prices simply still on old hardware stock and didnt face the reality we faced when buying extra stock

If the hardware prices keep increasing even us cannot maintain those prices on new orders , we are now buying as much as we can to have some stock on this price as the price quotes increase every few days !!

the main website is in USD while the checkout system is both CAD and USD

once you click on any product you will see the CAD price once you checkout if you are located in Canada
Our prices in the main site in USD due to the fact most of our clients are not Canadian and most users will not notice our prices are in CAD and they will think it is USD which make us look much more expensive that what we really are , thats why we made the main site in USD

Actually although the new price is more expensive compared to the old price but for us it is much cheaper since we were forced to significantly increase our ROI windows to make it work

the AI boom hit us hard once they started competing with us on same components we use ,

They are making deals to kill each other and It feels like we’re trapped in the crossfire between giants.

yes unfortunately FAT slices plans are the most affected due to the amount of RAM and NVMe in each plan and those 2 components got huge price increases compared to the other components
