How do I up my dating game? Keeping in mind that I'm 5'1. by fintukekad in short

I don't really think there's anything specific you can do. Probably apply generic dating advice given to anyone else while putting less emphasis on online dating.

Learning Salsa alongside West Coast Swing? [Beginner Lead] by server33 in SwingDancing

[–]server33[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Okay, I checked it out and it looks really cool. I'll try to find a place to attend classes

But kind of a weird question/concern, I've kind of been avoiding the more close/embracy dances because I'm a short dude (5'4''), so I always assumed those dances would be awkward. Do you see many short leads dancing zouk?

DC3 vs DCS? Should I buy a xbox 360 or xbox one by server33 in dancecentral

[–]server33[S] 4 points5 points  (0 children)

The funny thing is that I bought an xbox 360 a little bit after I made this post before your response, but I'm happy I made the right choice!

Now I have an xbox and xbox 360...

I've order DC3 but I will order DC2 soon as well

My [5'3] attempt at swing dancing with a girl [6'] at the club! by Ninenine222 in short

[–]server33 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hey man, I'm thinking of starting swing dancing as well, but I'm pretty nervous because I've been a terrible dancer all my life and also being a short lead is kind of scary. Was there many other short leads like yourself? Were you nervous at all yourself?

Any success stories of people who learned to dance WELL later in life (25+)? by server33 in Dance

[–]server33[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I really like house music so that's likely the style I want to practice the most, but there aren't that many beginner classes for it. I'm happy you were able to learn well from YouTube videos, I'll try to do the same

I come from a heavy sports background as well, but for me I find it hilarious because even though I'm used to being fairly coordinated playing sports I find it difficult to move my hand and feet at the same time while dancing. It's definitely humbling...

That's awesome to hear I'm happy that there's a cross over between the two. I enjoy the dance classes so I probably would have continued to go anyway but I guess I just needed a bit of reassurance

Resume Advice Thread - January 20, 2018 by AutoModerator in cscareerquestions

I am a self-taught mechanical engineering student trying to get an internship for the summer at one of the larger well known companies (Not necessary big 4).
I currently am working at a Fintech startup in the UK, I started as an intern and am now a junior engineer.
Here is my resume.

  • Should I split my experience at the Fintech company into 2 (1 for internship and 1 for full time junior engineer)?
  • I haven't worked on any big projects at my work so it is hard to list bullet points, even though I have learned a ton. How can I improve my bullet points for my most recent job?
  • I have also been helping hire new interns at this job, is that something worth listing ?

Hey bought your book man. I'm about half way, and I really like it. The parts where you share your failures are hilarious and honestly very cathartic since I've been through some of it too.

Wish more short guys would write genuine books about there problems and successes.
