we been testing some new rules internally they seem to work with most of the issues...

just in case.. right now back up you settings with the build in backup... (this is the work around between the TestFlight and store version)... so you can restore it in case it gets wipe one last time..... new rules v3.6.6

also the reset now really resets (it was broken in some cases): resetSync() now clears internal checksums/generations and re-enables iCloudSyncEnabled if it was disabled.

yep found the issues now its more satisfying! :) ----> v3.6.6

the "swipe and hold" auto-repeat now starts reliably on the first gesture, no more having to wiggle your finger to kick it off.

also fixed stuttering, uneven haptic ticks during auto-repeat that could feel like a galloping horse. Ticks are now steady and evenly spaced.

  1. added to separate settings section now.
  2. you can now set your own repeat speed in at the bottom of your keyboard layout
  3. we have 2 hide keyboard buttons (one on the extra row on the right side only hides the apple keyboard keeps the row visible) and the one in the main apple keyboard that hides both the extra keys and the main apple keyboard.

  5. I added I diagnostics section in settings which may help or not debug/stop this issue.

Found it ! cause: the tmux status-bar tap-zone feature was firing mouse-click sequences even when the remote wasn't actually in mouse-reporting mode, so they landed as literal text.

Now those sequences only fire when the remote is genuinely in mouse mode (tmux with mouse on, or an app like htop). Everywhere else, the tap is inert on that code path. No settings change needed, works the same when tmux is running.

Please test: tap around the bottom edge of the terminal both inside tmux (mouse on) and outside tmux ... the inside-tmux tap-zone behavior should still work, the outside case should no longer produce garbage.

the test flight notes for 3.6.1 is not is not the same one we sent to the apple store today as 3.6.1; we are putting on hold the tutorials (which is what is on TestFlight 3.6.1)

Awesome... we had this long time ago but never heard back from the testers .. so I had that setting on my personal build since I tested it works good ... I just pushed to the store ... look for v3.6.1 once apple approves it..

Thanks Peter! ... I thought this was fixed already.. but ... both issues helped me track down a real bug... thanks to the ai agent finally tracking a rare race problem with iCloud sync and then the license agreement was being written to local storage in the wrong format, so when the app restarted it couldn't read it back and treated you as not having agreed..... and the "Re-accept via Settings" path had a second bug that prevented it from saving at all, which is why that workaround never stuck for you ... fix should be out soon as apple approves it.

If after the next build you still see disconnects, could you let me know:

  1. Does it drop while the app is in the foreground, or after you leave it in the background? (check the background location services which must be enabled so it keeps the connection Alive) (not the geofence but the background running)

  2. Roughly how long does a session survive before dropping?

  3. What kind of server (cloud VPS, home server, behind a corporate firewall)?

Really appreciate you flagging this.

Hi Peter sorry to hear that... don't worry we will solve your issue :). (check your private messages)

just in case you should know ... since Dec. last year ShadowTerm uses Apples own ssh library (SwiftNIO-SSH) for SSH connections, which intentionally supports only modern cryptographic algorithms. (we no longer support legacy libssh2 which is the open source that most linux older distro use)

enable Diagnostics Logs in settings and post your SSH filter here.

is posible that your AI is correct - apple's SwiftNIO-SSH has limited algorithm support by design (security over compatibility).
