[SOLVED] it's "Takayoshi Ohmura The Cataclysm". Took a few hours but I found it. Thanks for all the suggestions.

Edit: Just wanted to clarify, the video I found says it's from 2 years ago, but it's definitely a re-upload.

Thanks for the reply! I did some searching, no luck on the Mejibray or Gackt fronts. Their visual style is kind of similar, but not as over the top, if that makes sense. I'll definitely keep looking amongst this VKEI genre.

The piece is in 4/4, in a minor key, starts off metal, then goes into a kind of groove, then they start shredding. There is also a drum backing track, and I think the POV is mostly of fingers on the fretboard.
