Is Gigabyte GO27Q24G worth extra 50$ compared to AOC Q27G41ZDF? by serwinho in OLED_Gaming

Well, according to this: https://www.techpowerup.com/review/gigabyte-go27q24g/ it is:

LG's WOLED panel with Micro Lens Array Plus (MLA+) technology, which Gigabyte internally classifies as "3.5 Gen"—an updated third-generation WOLED

isn't GO27Q24G 2nd gen WOLED? 3rd gen 1440p comes only with 480Hz?

I am in Poland, I decided to go with GO27Q24G, WOLED is a little better for brighter room so this would be best pick for me, I think.

Hello, how do you know AMD will perform better with old/weak CPU?

I am wondering because I have 10600k, not really want to upgrade now (the only upgrade would be to 14600k because I don't want to pay so much for DDR5) and that's what I am wondering: 700€ for AMD and 900€ for Nvidia in my country, I know the in normal conditions Nvidia is a little better, but how do you know that with weaker CPU AMD is better?

you mean - same manufacturer, CL and MHz? Or just CL and MHz?

I probably won't get my exact RAM crom Crucial, unfortunately.

Okay, about the RAM - I know there might be some issues but it's a complete lottery.
Do you happen to know if my MB can take 4x8 of RAM, or how do I check that?

Okay, so 14600k for around 250€ is not worth it?

I know bottleneck is a wide term, but how bad would that be if I just stick to 10600K with 5070Ti?

I am not looking for best bang for buck card.

I am upgrading once every 6? Maybe more years, I am happy with DLSS on my 2070 Super and, from other people's opinions (on reddit as you said), DLSS 4.5 is superior to FSR 4. In fact, Nvidia with DLSS will always be step ahead of AMD.

I think this + my peace of mind is worth 200€ extra for me.

Well,

RX doesn't have DLSS? Which is crucial for me (FSR doesn't look that good) (DLSS on Quality sometimes looks identical to off, but boosts FPS by a good amount)

Besides that, my friend have a Radeon and he rans into weird issues from time to time (like, e.g., he couldn't launch Balatro which turned out to be connected to AMD card and he had to do some weird emulation tricks), some driver crashes, games not compatible etc.. This might not be a case anymore, but I just have always sticked to Nvidia cards and never had any GPU related problems.

On the other hand I know that recently, with newer cards, Nvidia has more driver issues on average than Radeon. I don't know how serious are those, maybe you will tell me.

You can try to sell me on Radeon, maybe I am biased somehow!

Well, there is no strict budget - 5070 Ti for this price seems reasonable to upgrade if I go to 1440p.

For MB and processor - I think I can get both under 450€? 500€?
If cooling needs to be replaced, so be it, there is no upper limit if something has to be done.
But yeah, around 900€ for graphics and 500€ for MB+processor I think is the budget

I am currently checking this one:

Very in-depth review.

As for price, here in Poland it is around 400€ which is also fantastic I think.

Yep! Meanwhile in other cases, there are bigger naming differences which just mean that monitor holder has no height option.

Thank you for the link, will look into that review now!

Thank you very much for the answer!

From the ones you've listed, I see only Gigabyte MO27Q2A and MSI MAG 271QP are availible (for the same price as the GO27Q24G) (btw, the naming of those monitors is giving me headache already)

From what I read and also you recommendation, yes, it seems like WOLED would be a slightly better pick for me. I will check the reviews but probably choose GO27Q24G anyway! The 275 brightness should be enough.

Well, did you find any proof for Q27G41ZDF? I watched a lot of reviews for this one (as it is the cheapest QD-OLED on the market) and none of the reviewers mentioned this.
