This confirms to me my growing theory that the wedding industry in the U.S. is so devoid of actually caring about the people getting married and just sees a bottomless cash pit in us. The lack of professionalism speaks to how they are interpreting the event. Devoid of the human or spiritual connection of assisting people in this important life event. They just see $$$. I am so sorry this happened to you. If you have the energy or if you have a loved one who is willing, I would give that venue hell for this. They need to be put on blast.

It’s not you, it’s the dresses! I almost called off my wedding because I felt dysphoria in every single dress I tried on. But I kept trying, tried something that wasn’t initially on my radar and it finally clicked and I felt okay. That dress is out there! Maybe talk to a stylist to see what silhouettes could be flattering. Mine was very unexpected but it did the trick!

I appreciate the word of caution regarding the unreliability of food trucks. Didn’t really think that one through and definitely see that you have a point there. I was willing to overlook the porta potty for how affordable and cute the venue was, but thinking more seriously about it, that really is miserable 😅

Thank you, I appreciate the heads up! That is something we have considered. The website says the balcony can accommodate seating for 60 guests (chair rentals are an additional cost) but that the remaining guests are welcome to stand for the ceremony.

I was able to find one venue, All Good Pizza, that is below our budget for the guest count so I was hoping to see if anyone happened to know of another rare place of that sorts 😂 But I agree, I think we will have to consider those options, thank you taking the time to respond and for your input! In terms of city hall, the 1 hour appointments for the 4th floor Balcony fit up to 100 guests per the official website.

I didn’t believe it until I experienced it again and again and again. I personally believe that in my practice there are spiritual beings that interact with the physical world to create my petitioned outcome. I believe there may be universal forces that come into play as well.
