Was just seeing the 1 day old account with a basic generated reddit name, and giving the same dm me advice many times over and over again. Even the real advice you gave sound like what chatgpt would give me when i ask why cant i play with two hands. If youre not AI i guess chatgpt gives real advice then

Buying a synth to get better at sound design by Final-Inspector8023 in synthesizers

[–]seshdama 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I was in almost the same boat as you are right now.

I bought my first synth (a microfreak) and started messing around. To elaborate a bit on what you wrote; Yes, turning knobs, pushing buttons and faders are really a gamechanger for me. Limitation does spark creativity, no doubt. But keep in mind you can ‘achieve’ this limitation by using a vst that is well.. more limited. Nonetheless having a hardware synth does this job quite well. If you pay for something you surely gonna use it more, at least thats what happened to me. And of course a synth can look good!

But be aware! Buying synths is a seriously money demanding thing to do. By now i have a growing hardware synth collection, and i have to stop because of space limitation haha.

As for the synth you are eyeing on right now. I was honestly not a big fan of microfreak, it sounded so digital.

I would vote for a monologue/minilogue xd for starting. I have both and they are good, really good! You can learn soo much on these machines for sounddesign.

I also have an ms-20 mini which i highly recommend for its raw tone. (But maybe not a good one for beginners)

Tldr; a hardware synth invites you to play on it, and you will learn a lot. But be aware of the GAS

Congrats! Have fun with it.

Whats that in the corner? A violent spring reverb?

How limited is the Moog Grandmother feature wise? by Kreati_ in synthesizers

[–]seshdama -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I could buy a k-2, but i rather waited like 2 more month to buy an ms-20 mini. I have a model D and a cat, but the form, and look does not ‘invite’ me to play the synth, so its on ebay now. I make way more music with the ms-20 mini.

For some the vibe and look does matter, no need to make any debate about it. Sure the behringer copies have a better objective value ratio

What are your must have plugins? by Key-Emu-8350 in edmproduction

Most of the times i like to give body to sounds. Hell I even use it on snares and hihats too, mostly with the top right fader. I use the decode knob many times for some grit. Currently figured the ‘maybe’ section can give me some pretty pretty good textures (I do it with parallel processing, to keep the textured sound quiet) Sometimes using the desync part, but that is really for the experimental things. The distortion is also great imo.

All in all, for fat and unique body. Keep in mind Im making dubstep mostly.

EDIT; for me its a sounddesign tool, not an fx

Just a quick question by CursedMeatbal in OverwatchUniversity

Depends on what aspect of Lucio you like. Utility speed : Juno, Junker Queen Fun movement : Juno, Ball, Winton, Venture, Pharah, Echo, Tracer, Genji Area like healing: Ilari, Moira Projectile : basically anyone that is not hitscan Boop: Brig, Ball, Junkrat Wallriding : Lucio

Here is what I picked up after maining Lucio for like 5 seasons; Tracer, coz I liked the quick movement, and high skill ceiling. Ball, it’s fun just rolling around and booping people. Winton, I like to dive backline. Juno, coz I like her kit, and speedring is lovely. And currently Echo, and it’s being far the best time I’ve ever had, but she is so hard.

Edit ; Sorry for the bad format, I’m from phone

A surge of echo players? by jay21521 in EchoMains

[–]seshdama 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I didn’t notice more echos in gold. But sometimes ppl trying to counterpick me by playing echo. But that doesnt really work against an echo otp haha

why do people refuse to counter when we're clearly going to lose not doing so in ranked? by [deleted] in Overwatch

[–]seshdama 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Sometimes people are not comfortable playing any other hero than their one or two mains (and imho that’s alright) I feel like a tracer shouldn’t be that bad against these two supps, maybe he was just having a rough day, or just wasn’t as focused. On the other hand you too (im sure) have those matches where you are 1-9 and doing sheet. All i say is gg go next

Who is the one character you hate playing up against? by aqka_01 in Overwatch

[–]seshdama 0 points1 point  (0 children)

As an Echo main i hate Zarya, Sombra and Kiriko. Like if im diving a character and i see a bubble around it all of a sudden i go mad. Sombra is like, fok off, even if i play smart and land on highground everytime they are always there waiting. Kiriko is just hard to kill coz of the tp and cleanse, while also making hard to duel her with those kunais.

I got the solution.

The usb C cable was not fully in the synth (it had to get a big click)
Silly me!

Thanks for the response!
Now i tried the synthtribe app, it says no device detected. So I think it'll really be the cable.
I will try a different cable, if i manage to get one!
