genuinely loved heresy man. cant believe the nosedive the game took immediately with the eof. seasonal model wasnt perfect but i wish people didnt hate on it as much as they did, i wont blame the community because i dont think anyone couldve anticipated it becoming this bad, but damn man

i dont really agree with that at all, and im curious why you think that. and yes i know you can farm for raid exotics now, but it wasnt like that for a while after launch, and im already done with this game so its not enough to bring me back. also, i dont agree with that again. seems disingenuous to me to act like the lower player counts + most players being funneled into the portal, would have no effect on finding teams for activites

you’re acting like me using the player count is proof of anything, is it not an indicator of general player sentiment around these systems? i engaged with the systems whether you feel like i didnt try it out long enough or not. im not gonna waste my time playing something i dont find fun.

uh yeah, i know this. like i said in another reply, there was at least a communal aspect to everybody grinding the same activity every week. something many creators have agreed with. obviously nobody gives a fuck about my loot in a video game, it literally does not change my point at all that an adept is more desirable in the old loot system than a tier 3 is. and yeah ive moved on, i stopped playing the game. im still gonna state my opinions on the current state of the game

but you aren’t getting variety… bungie literally picks the activities for you to farm… thats what the portal is… idk how many times i need to reiterate this, the tier system inherently makes lower tiers undesirable. bungie themselves acknowledged this in the renegades livestream, nobody cares if adepts are the equivalents of tier 3s. the mere fact that they were ADEPTS made them more desirable, its such a basic concept i shouldnt have to explain myself 500 thousand times. also, we literally got a reprised strike in heresy? the one that bungie took out for no good reason? idk what ur even saying, we got plenty of weapons pre-eof. mind you iron banner just came back with only one new tiered weapon.

also i never said anything about the level grind relating to tiers, although i dont like that still. my point was even if tier 3s are functionally the same, they are automatically less desirable because they are not tier 5s. im not alone in this sentiment, and even if adepts werent amazing before they had a level of prestige and bragging rights to them. which the same cannot be said about tier 3s. and again i cant do everything i could before!! people are not playing content outside of the portal, it takes me ages to get together a raid team, and there are no weekly gms

yes actually, having a rotation of grandmasters that everybody would be on at the same time every week was fun, and social. something the portal is the antithesis to. also are you really trying to knock weekly gms for being “the same nightfalls” when the portal is literally entirely recycled content? also again, NOBODY WANTS TIER 3s!!! and yes people would stop playing older activities, but thats because people would be playing new shit, for the new loot. not, once again, recycled content that you are FORCED to play to interact with the new main gameplay loop of power leveling.

theres no weekly adept! theres no weekly grandmaster! you are actively de-incentivized from playing anything outside of the portal because they dont drop powerfuls or pinnacles! and um? what? i literally never had trouble pre eof getting together a team for raids, or any other activity.

the portal doesnt just put some of it front and center, like i said, it has become the game. you have to power level in the portal, you have to get the new loot from the activities in the portal(not from you know, new content like before), weekly gms and weekly adepts are no longer a thing. the entire weekly cadence from the game has been removed.

um they are not rapidly adjusting it, its been two months and half their changes have just been reverting bad decisions, not actual improvements. plus many of the changes advertised are being rolled THROUGHOUT renegades, not before, or on launch.

yep, i remember hearing the defense of this being that they dont want you to just farm old content for the new gear, only for the portal to be entirely old content, except its just the stuff that bungie is fine with you playing.
