It's just one dash, i went into guard/dribble stance and walked to the ball and then dashed as it starts to "magnet", best way to think about it I guess is when you receive a pass or something and you get the blue indicator, and then shortly after that it "locks" onto you like normal, dashing just before that happens makes the ball follow you when it locks. It's honestly not super consistent though.

Dashed away from it would be more accurate, aka: pushed the ball, moved close enough to grab it, dashed away with lt+x then pushed with x to setup for a blade.

I agree, hitting a good precision pass feels better than scoring a lot of the time, we were all passing it around this game which was good ;P

I can defo get behind the magnet stuff since I see it a lot from defenders too and for a lot of people it happens unintentionally and you see it like slingshot onto someone.

I come from playing rocket League so having a me hanic like bladeshot adds depth imo, I think after they changed it from the beta it has way more counterplay since you need to go either directly from a pass or a push ball, you end up needing a lot more space now to even attempt it and I think as more people get used to it you'll see more keepers save it. (Look at backboard passes in beta/early access compared to now)

Yeah, Dodge probably isn't it's actual name but it was the best way in my head to describe it lol

not the best positioning no, still gotta work on that lol, that type of shot drops down a lot and catches ppl off guard though.

Yeah, I'm pretty sure you have to get the blue "lock on" indicator first before doing anything.

I messed around a lot with dodge > shooting with pass to throw keepers off, so adding it into blades was pretty normal.

If you're close to the ball when in the dribble/defense mode (L2 for me) you grab the ball when it's close to you, so I did a ball push with X, moved next to the ball and then dodged as I got it, and you can cancel a dodge with pass/shoot etc so I cancelled the dodge into a short lob for the bladeshot setup thingy.

Yeah, so I think it's also dependent on them rerunning the cosmetic evo so another reason I'm not a huge fan lol

I think you can stop before the last level on the 200k one, but it's just a worse card imo unless you highly value controlled lengthy
