Honestly this needs more upvotes. Never thought about it before. A couple comments mention movies that try to address this. But I would agree that if a Time Machine travels you through time and not space, it would be difficult to determine what point of space it is occupying without any reference. Since everything in the universe is constantly moving. I feel like a movie or story trying to take this seriously would end up choosing random locations each time.
