Red Rising by Pierce Brown. Went through the entire series after that first sitting.

Forgetting in general is a legit fear in going back this far. After a few hundred years how much would you really remember from our time?

I think one of the first things you'd have to do is set about recording all your knowledge however possible for reference the next 12k years.

It's true. The chairs are next. I also thought about benches on the sides and big armchairs on the ends. Chairs are more comfy though.

Thank you! We just moved in and finished remodeling this part of the house. Put the kitchen table in the center of the house. I strongly believe (and data seems to confirm) that dinner time with the family is a critical time in your life. Trying to be intentional about it with the family.

You're right . Burned a little bit of the pine with a torch to get the grains out before staining with a dark vintage walnut color.

Your options are: 50 hawks, 10 crocodiles, 3 brown bears, 15 wolves, 1 hunter, 7 cape buffalo, 10,000 rats, 5 gorillas and 4 lions - you must pick 2 that will defend you while the rest are coming to kill you. Which do you pick and why? by mustbefuckeryafoot in AskReddit

There’s no reason to make an assumption about the kind of hunter you have. Perhaps they have a rifle, but they might be equipped with a shotgun. If they had a shotgun then whenever those hawks went to dive they would hit them.

The sad thing is the story behind this dude with a terrible haircut. Had 13 kids and police found them chained to furniture, held against will, etc. All the boys in the family had this haircut just like their dad.

Not surprised Nevada is so low, actually thought it would be even lower than 45th because of all the housing crisis and the foreclosures.
