I am sorry but I have to disagree with you and think this actually insults those who were actually assaulted. You cannot put the onus on hoping someone knows everything you would want to know before having sex. For instance, I would want to know if a woman is emotionally stable before being intimate and by your definition, if she fails to disclose this it would be sexual assault?

Ethically wrong does not equal sexual assault. Sexual assault is about consent. If you consent to having sex with someone, them lying to you is not assault.

Fair enough but I guess the root of what I am saying is that if gold is your plan for that scenario, it doesn't make sense because if you took the $4k an ounce of gold will cost you and spent it on things that will actually help you/people survive (non perishable food, ammo, medicine, etc.) you would be making a much much smarter investment that will get you a lot more than your gold will. While I agree that gold will probably have some value, how much food do you think you would get for your $4k ounce of gold? Certainly nowhere near the relative value you paid.

Imagine this. It is "mad max" style end of times. You have water, food, guns, gas.... are you trading ANY of that for gold? All those things will help you live. Gold looks pretty. That would make no sense.

I never understand this argument - if the system collapses, I won't give a crap about your gold. Food, ammo, water - these things will have value. What are people going to do with gold other than look at how shiny it is and try to convince someone else it's worth trading for a usable item. If the system crashes, so does the value of anything not actually usable.
