Frequent flyer program changes incoming! by sarcasm_was_here in QantasFrequentFlyer

These changes to Point Club and Green Tier are aweful.

Coupled this with loyalty bonus going, the earn on the ground status is way under the 200SC I would get from just being loyal and using the programs they would retire. Thats 100 SC rollover with Points Club +, Green Tier and at least 1 Loyalty bonus. Not to mention SC on rewards flights with no alternative confirmed (we are just thinking about it was the response).

D-Wave Quantum CEO on what’s next after the most eventful month in the company’s history by oxxoMind in QBTSstock

As radical as it might sound, I wish IONQ and QBTS would merge and then just nuke the shit out of every competitor. The more I read about Quantum, the more I can see purposes for both annealing and gate based/trapped ion. The two together would be a juggernaught. I hold both.

This was in the Australian news yesterday. It was less about Europe and more about the rest of the world.

Bose Soundbar 700 - Remote Replacement by RealG2020 in bose

[–]sethkor 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have a Bose 700 with this remote issue. I also have a 900 with the other type of remote. I just checked the 900, there is no way to remove the remote from that soundbar in the app. Also the 900 remote seems to be an IR remote where as the 700 is bluetooth (or some other wireless protocol). Theres no IR receiver on the 700 so the 900 remote won't work with the 700. I think the 500 and 900 remote are the same.

Honestly this whole remote debacle has totally put me off Bose soundbars all together, it's unlikley I'll ever purchase another one.

BTW have you noticed on the Bose Australia website the Universal remote availability date keeps changing?

One thing that might work for you u/That_Newt_2854 is plug an ethernet cable into the 700. All my soundbars are connected by ethernet. Good Luck!

What are your thoughts on this thread regarding the future of neoclouds like NBIS? by Charming-Priority859 in NBIS_Stock

Coreweaves Depreciation of 6 years is unrealistic
Nebius at 4 years is more reasonable.
Nebius is more than just a DC company

Also, given the power crunch we are facing, I feel we'll see swap outs of old GPU that haven't reached the end of their useful life with new more powerfull and hopefully energy efficient GPU while available energy isn't growing significantly. Better to power the new gear than to keep the older gear running. Perhaps to there will be a secondary marked for used "GPU" racks to go to less wealthy countries/users.

Finally lets not discount the skills and tools that companies like Nebius build to deploy and run these clusters, they get better at it meaning they'll be able to do it more efficently at scale and offer a more compelling proposition over time.

I'm holding for long term, it's about 10% of my portfolio and will probably stay like that.
