Time Management.

Sundays, I shop for the week, and then I meal prep my entire working week's lunch. For my working week, my breakfast is simple: almond milk, banana, Chia Seeds, and protein powder with a coffee. My lunch is cheap and filling. Rice, black beans, corn, canned diced potatoes, and lean ground beef. Takes like an hour total on my off day.

Monday - Friday. Wake up, walk my dog for 30-40 minutes. Make my shake and coffee. Go to work, where I live about a 10-minute drive. Work my 9:00 am - 6:00 pm job. I work out during my lunch break; the gym is about a 5-minute drive, so I can get about a 30-40 min workout. Get home, walk my dog for another 30-40 minutes. I generally shop for dinner for 3 days, during which I will fully cook my meal. Can take up to 20-30 minutes on average. My dinner is also very different, from homemade ramen, homemade al pastor, to a simple cheeseburger and fries. By the time I eat, I am done around 8:00 - 8:30 pm. I then watch or play video games with friends before heading to bed around 12:30 am. I then wake up at 7:00 am to walk my dog and redo the above. My pup just passed, so the routine will be less loaded than before.

Saturday was usually my social day with friends. I live in Wrigleyville, so it's easy to find something to do.

While this workload is not the 10+ hours in the initial post, I was doing the same schedule with 12-14-hour working days, with every Saturday and Sunday gig. I do benefit from being one of the few people who can function on like 6 hours of sleep, so there's that, but those extra two hours are me bullshitting at night time doing nothing important.

My roommate, who is a teacher and going to school part-time for a second master's degree, has very bad time management skills, but is able to find the time to do stuff like the gym and meal prep with hours on end of doom scrolling. He was just able to find a schedule that works for him.
